The food here is good. The ambience of the place is great, the building is massively beautiful. The pizza wasn’t that great, nevertheless the bread crumbs with cheese was amazing. The staff and the service wasn’t that great. They gave us the same wine despite us ordering two different flavours of red wine. overall the place is beautiful.
Excellent service. Our waitress was great. As a group of 11 had booked in advance, they put us in a lovely place surrounding the decorative. Beautiful building, a great place to take pictures! The staffs are extremely friendly and communicate directly with us by using gestures. After all, we are all deaf. We had a great time here and definitely will come back here again. The foods are delicious and fresh. Thank you for making our night fantastic!
It's been 7.5 years since I ate in this restaurant. I once worked here too. While all the faces are new, it's great to see that standards have not only been maintained but greatly improved. Service was superb. Friendly, efficient and unintrusive. Food was well presented and delicious. The restaurant was clean, well maintained and a pleasure to spend time in.
Food was great and even when they got my order wrong they fixed it pretty quickly. Service wasn't great though. It was very hurried, food and drinks delivered without much care a spillage and things not given to the right person. Plus, unlike Pizza Express, the Tesco vouchers aren't valid for most of December, something admittedly mentioned in the Ts&Cs, but certainly not made clear. Beautiful room though.
We visited Ask Italian in York on a Saturday lunchtime.We had been bought a gift voucher as an Anniversary present so had booked ahead.We were entitled to the three course set menu and explained that I have a food allergy.We were given their allergen guide book so we could check every item.This was such brilliant service and made our whole experience so enjoyable as there were no concerns regarding my food choices.All of the staff were made aware and checked at various intervals that my choice was appropriate for me.The food and service were excellent.Would happily visit them again.
Had my cousins baby shower here, such a beautiful restaurant. We was looked after by ed and he was very accommodating and made the day go so smooth. Everyone had such a lovely time and the food was amazing!
Nice food but it some ingredients missing from our dishes - bruschetta didn’t have any ricotta cheese whereas the pizza was missing the artichokes. Good regardless.
Seated straight away. Ordered and paid via the scan code on my phone. Which was very easy. Quick and excellent service. Great food. Very tasty. Nice and hot. Decent prices. Very good all round. Enjoyed my evening. Thank you ASK ItalianFood: 5/5
This was without doubt, one of the most beautiful surroundings that I have ever enjoyed a meal in. The team were attentive, polite, knowledgeable & very busy BUT never once did I feel that we were being overlooked. One of the team stopped and answered all of our questions about the ballroom & we had a laugh with him also. I overheard a conversation where one of the team stayed on after her shift had finished to support her stretched & stressed team members. That ethos of togetherness is very rare & I hope that the regional managers know how lucky that they are to have such a great team! This type of commitment & comradery is very rare & this team should be acknowledged & supported. Great food, great selection & the meals available on the York pass were extensive. Service was fast but the team did appear to be under pressure. Pizza was tasty, as was the calamari. Would definitely recommend & would go back. I left a good tip as the team were great. Kid-friendliness: Colouring in books available & little glasses of lemonade on arrival. Good kids menu selection also.
Amazing food, the pasta was fantastic, and they offer cheese to be grated ontop of your food if you want. Lovely building, really beautiful!.Food: 5/5
