Large carpark located just off the High Street, within easy walking distance to local shops. Pay by card or with coins, £2.40 / 2 hours. Also has a public toilet which takes coinage.
Excellent car park, but the machines are different from what they were.nWhen paying for 4 hours, use the + button to change the departure time BEFORE putting any cash in. Then you will get the correct ticket, £1.20 for 4 hours.nCharlotte Street car park in Bath has the same machines, and they always display the minimum parking time first.
Car park has two charges, 60p 2 hrs or £1.20 for 4 hrs. Entered reg and put £1.20 in. Machine issued ticket, for 2 hrs. BANES are ripping customers off when parking here. Called to complain and told I would have to pay again or risk a ticket. Apparently if you have the eyesight to read small print without glasses, you still have to specify you are staying 4 hours or the machine thinks you are being generous and paying double for two hours! While stood waiting for answer to my call, several people paid, and none got the change they were due, another man did the same as me and my friends paid double for fear of getting a ticket.nIs it any wonder the High Street has empty shops with rip off parking charges?
It's a car park...short walk to the high street can always find a space. Some 30 min spaces are free, not sure what the longer stay spaces cost but I think you get 2 hours for £1.20.
Just seen 5 people get ripped off as they put £1 in and then tried to put the 20pence. Told them machines set to rip you off as no where does it say how to pay for 2 hours £1.20 as it will charge you 60 pence each time. Plus website not working to pay by phone.
