The school is great at sending newsletters saying how wonderful they are, but my child worked so hard and appeared to have little, if any, work marked over five years. Also, in a recent newsletter they were forced to admit that it was their pupils that were involved in the antisocial behavior throughout Trafford. I would give this school full marks for blowing their own trumpet, but no marks for basic teaching. Look at the staff turnover.

Ask to see the marking policy and then ask to see the work they've marked. I bet you won't see either. The bad thing about working on scraps of paper is they they can disappear, never to be seen again. I think the idea of giving work in, is that you get it marked and keep it somewhere(perhaps somewhere really original, like a file.)

A really good, high performing secondary school. Considered to be better than the local grammar schools.
