Mum was warmly welcomed into Ashley Care Centre more than 5 years ago. Having discussed her needs with friendly, caring staff and inspected the home, I was confident she was in the best possible place for her safety and well-being. My opinion has never wavered since. Special mention must go to the staff who established a bond with Mum. Her smiling interaction with them was a joy to behold and a great comfort to our whole family. Despite the advancing dementia this interaction is still apparent. Even through the dreadful pandemic, management and staff did everything they could for their residents and relatives given the enormously difficult challenges they must have faced. I have recommended this home in the past and will continue to do so. Thank you Ashley, for everything.
My Father who has Dementia has been a resident of Ashley Care Centre since May 2021, after moving from a previous care home.nnFrom the great first impressions my mother and my initial visit, the staff were very welcoming and friendly.nnWe are thankful for the way my father is being looked after by all the staff at Ashley Care Centre, especially the way they give care to all residents.nnThank you Ashley Care Centre. The job you all do is unrecognised, unappreciated and certainly difficult but it's important that you know how grateful my mother and I will always be recognising your hard work and dedication.
My mother has lived in Ashley Care Centre for over 5 years and I feel it is about time I wrote a review.nnIn all that time I have found staff to be supportive, caring and flexible to my mother's needs. My mother's care has changed due to the ongoing progress of dementia. She doesn't communicate verbally much now but I notice her face always lights up when staff approach and interact with her........and I am well aware that if she is not happy she will let you know by her body language! Staff respect this and will try and find out the problem.nnI am fully confident in staff's decisions for my mother and know they have readily sought advice from the doctor, tissue viability nurse, physiotherapist etc as appropriate. They keep the family informed of any health issues and actions taken.nnI would just like to add my thanks and respect for all the staff and management who have been involved with my mother......especially during the very difficult and ever changing circumstances of the covid pandemic.nnI recommend Ashley Care Centre without hesitation to any family who are going through the traumatic process of finding professional and caring support for a loved one.
My mother been at Ashley for a number of years now. I always find the staff and management friendly and approachable. When we have questions they either have the answers or find out and let us know..I would highly recommend this place to anyone who has loved ones that need caring for..We even had video calls throughout the pandemic so were kept up to date with mums care
Ashley care home was definitely the best place for mum unfortunately I live over 100 miles away but rest of my family live alot nearer nothing is ever to much for the staff and regularly update us with news I work in a care home and know how important it is to feel your loved ones are safe when you can longer look after them and we have always felt that about Ashley care home even though mum doesn't respond much now her eyes sparkle when she sees stuff and they always make time for her thank you from one grateful daughter for looking after my mum so much xx
