A great family-run business. If you are looking for a friendly, trustworthy and knowledgable local aquarium shop, then I wholeheartedly recommend this place. I have found tropical fish not found elsewhere in Yorkshire and the Humberside, and from what I have seen they are all healthy and well kept. They also do nice hardscaping materials decorative stones and wood branches at fair prices, which look fantastic after rinsing and acid washing. Worth a trip to support a local business that cares about the products it is selling. Always learning something new with every visit.

Great place, traditional aquatics shop, rough around the edges and would benefit from a bigger shop but great quality livestock and plants. The gentleman we spoke to was very knowledgeable and friendly, pointed out some great recommendations. Quite a few unusual stuff, not just your standard bread and butter stuff that you get everywhere. Incredibly reasonable prices too. Very happy, will definitely be returning!
Bought some tropical fish plants 4 months ago and planted into a new aquarium. They were an excellent price and as I dont have much look generally with plants wasn't expecting these to take off. How wrong was I, they have grown well and I have taken cuttings and replanted. All the plants i bought was on the advice from the shop. Also bought a pair of Angel's at the same time and these are thriving. Cannot praise the shop enough, it was nice to talk with someone who was knowledgable
Great local place for my cat stuff, really helpful and friendly owners will always answer my questions.
I have bought from him on ebay but the second time called at his shop . He has a fountain of useful information and I hope to see him again. I would heartedly recommend this guy a ,AA++ in my mind
I have purchased from Ashby Pets and Aquatics online via Ebay in the past but decided to visit the store today 10/09/18 and have a look around and purchase from the store directly. I must say that the owner was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Great way to run a business. Great selection of Fish, Shrimps and Hardscape Materials. Will definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone interested in keeping Tropical Fish. Thank you and hope to visit again soon.
Absolute waste of time. Been there for a visit. The shop was overstocked, which restricted movement. The moment I walked in, the man behind counter said we don’t sell fish. I walked away with no regrets.
After recently moving to the area, we found this shop. I lasted 10 minutes at most. The walkway is tiny to get in. A massive plant tank in the middle, but you can see pest snails and some guppy swimming in it. The tanks themselves the fish seem lethargic and some had fin-rot. Also so tanks were dull and green. The other side of the walkway theres another one but good luck, as allot of stock was dumped their so I couldn't get around to even see. The pictures show are nothing like it is now. I'd rather try the other 5/6 fish stores in the Scunthorpe/Brigg area.
