Absolutly fantastic day out to one of the English Heritage Site.
Interesting ruins with quirky audio guide. Tunnel is interesting - we only went part way as it had water in, would like to do it when it's dry. . 98 strenuous steps to top of the tower to heave fab views. Some interesting fire places. White dove in residence in one of the alcoves - Shame it was camera shy
beautiful castle, great place for kids to explore, make sure you go through the tunnel between the two towers and climb to the top of the ruins of Hastings Tower
Nice castle ruins, not a castle where you spend many hours exploring it, maybe 1 to 2 hours. Disabled car park on site and car park in town for everyone else, 50 pence for the whole day which is excellent.
Lovely historic site with plenty of nooks and crannies to explore, helpful staff and easy parking by the tennis club.
