Avoid this place just had my dog there with a cut pad to have the flap removed , was told I would need to have the dog examined when in aswell because she hasn't been to them the last year so that was fine , went in for exam and flap removal the vet looked at cut pad and removed the small flap them bandaged it up as you can see bandage in photo . I said about her skin allergies and straight away he wanted to know her weight to work out dosages for tablets or a jag monthly . Then went on to tell me the cost , tablets £106 per month or jag £156 per 4 weeks , but he never actually looked at the dogs skin to check what it was with her skin , on leaving I was charged £103 for this £53 for examination and £50 for a bandage which would have cost maximum £2 . Bearing all this in mind the year before my dog was there with the same thing on other paw but the cut was bigger and on an emergency appointment , I was charged for that £56.49 for the same treatment and I was also given antibiotic cream to treat with at home . They say they will make you aware of costs before doing thing but they didn't and they didn't even give my dog a proper exam . So totally disgusted with them and will not be back .
My dog just cracks me up going here always happy and bouncy once inside he realises where he is and panic stations.
As usual Lawrie Vets are professional from the start. The receptionist is welcoming and informative. The vet, Rachel, was professional and calm with my cat. She was there for her Pet Health Club check and vaccination. I recommend the Health Club as it has saved me a lot of money over the years with my cats. It is very reassuring to know my cats are in capable hands. Everything is always explained clearly. The visits are stress free for both my cats and myself.
Lawrie's have been our vets for just over 2 years. Everyone is so friendly and makes being at the Vets a positive experience. Both my dogs are members of the Healthy Pet Club and it makes keeping on top on their basic care/routine vaccines much easier and seeing a nurse regularly means Huxley & Rosie feel at ease being examined. Highly recommend.
Very incompetent and uncaring company.....money seems to be all that matters to these people.....dreadful and insulting experience. I'm now with a decent and responsible vet and just relieved to leave the Lawrie group far behind me.
Have been using this vets practice since we moved to the area. Recently been taken over by Lawries and seem to be just as good as before.
Never ending problems, don’t make you aware of policy changes and don’t keep you updated with vaccines. Have spent thousands of pounds for my cat and dog for medication that has never worked. Spoken to other trained vets and they seem to think ashbank are trying to get more money out me by misdiagnosing for numerous health problems. There’s a few members of staff that are very rude also.
Excellent facilities and a really friendly experience from first entering the premises untill you leave.
Both reception staff and the vets are always warm, welcoming and incredibly helpful. I’ve been with various vets in the past before moving here and Ashbank is the best experience I’ve had. They clearly care very much about the animals over making money, and that can be rare in the field. So glad I found this place!
Have used Lawrie Vets for years and highly recommend them. Always had great service from knowledgeable vets and super friendly and helpful staff whether in person or over the phone.
