Having previously ordered the carvery & cake for delivery 3/4 times I have always been satisfied with great tasting food and the portions. Yesterday however, it had gone from a huge portion of delicious meats and veggies to a much smaller portion, with one lump of dry end meat gammon & 2 strips of soggy turkey skin with very little meat on them .. and 3/4's the amount of veg .. cant fault the food really but you need to have a word with whoever was serving the takeaway food on sun 25th as the meat was only fit for the dog.
Delicious fresh carvery! One of the best I’ve had. Lovely lean meat and fresh vegetables. 3 choices of potatoes too! Massive pub seating areas too so never going to be struggling for a seat. Even had a kids play area. Staff were lovely too
Great visit to Ash Tree Farm today. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Good choice of carved meat and veg, all tasted lovely. Kids meals came with a free scoop of ice cream which was unexpected! The kids loved the indoor play area and are already asking to return.
Dined here a few times and food is always great. The carvery is always delicious and prices are great. Staff are friendly although maybe sometimes a little slow in my opinion. Overall great place to eat and has a very convenient play area for children
If I could rate this in minus stars I would. Ash Tree Farm used to be an amazing place to eat at. We arrived just before 8pm last night as online it says food served til 9pm however the carvery had already been packed up. We decided to order off the standard menu instead, 2 adult mains and two child meals and some desserts. The only edible thing from the lot was the chips! The Mushy peas on the chippy supper had been sat out for god knows long and formed a green and yellow crust, the scampi was undercooked and full of water, the fish was the same size as the scampi! And the gravy was a bowl of beef flavoured jelly. Kids pizza was an overcooked microwave one that my son couldn't bite through as it was solid on the bottom And to top it off we all ended up using vinegar that had dead fruit flies in it! After wandering around it appeared this was a common thing with most of the bottles. We all left feeling sick to our stomachs. Dessert was OK but after the fly scenario mine was boxed up and I ended up chucking it away this morning. So disappointed and a huge waste of £70!! Will be making sure Farmhouse head office know about this too. This is no reflection on the service the staff gave. Just an overall disappointment and we will not be returning to ash tree as food hygiene is obviously not a strong point.
