Beautiful place to walk your dog or go on a bike ride, there are many different paths to take. There is a Facebook group that will update you if the red flags are up, but if you aren't apart of it finding out if the flags are up can be tricky.
Absolutely love the ash ranges for dog walking or bike riding . Having this so close to home is brilliant
Great place to walk and have mini adventures - Read the signage and observe the rules, this land is used by the MOD. Look out for the Red flags.

Following the traces of my past, I just ended up here in Ash Ranges with Google maps. Memories of a wonderful time are awakened again. I was fascinated by Ash Ranges back in 1982. A beautiful piece of earth until today...
Ash Ranges are a runners dream and nightmare. In the summer my best fitness comes from the ranges but in the winter because of the firing during the day and limit daylight, I usually get fat across the winter and lose it all through the summer.
Somewhere to escape and go for a ride/walk in the nature. I wouldn't say it's extraordinarily beautiful, but it is nice and a fairly large area. Be wary of the flags and locks on entry. If they're up, it means the ranges are in use and you should not enter. Obviously there is still access to some parts of the area though.
Beautiful piece of countryside. Good paths. Check if it's open before going there
Largely unspoilt by visitors, so please don't come :-. Lovely walks and views particularly if you like heath land
