Located in Shipley, Bradford, the Asda supermarket boasts amazing options for convenient shopping. As one of the largest grocery stores in Bradford, it offers a comprehensive product selection at competitive prices. Customers can explore an extensive variety of groceries, alongside clothing, electronics, and a multitude of other items. The store is meticulously organized, ensuring a pleasurable shopping experience. For added convenience, Asda features self-checkout kiosks alongside traditional billing counters. Ample parking is available on-site, and a petrol station is conveniently located at the entrance for comprehensive service.
Today was the first time shopping on my own without someone to help me as recently Im partially blind due to health reasons, and o did start my shopping of on my own to see if I could handle it I was full of anxiety souch I felt sick but as I tried to do it on my own o kept struggling way to much. So I went to ask if it was possible for someone to walk round the shop and help me. I have never met any nicer workers the staff behind the customer service desk got straight to it and found a lovely women called Sally that's usually works in the George part. Sally was a godsend today and for her I'm very grateful. At first I was sick In the middle of one of the isles due to my high anxiety, she managed to calm me down and handed me a bottle of water. The way she handled me and how I was feeling was so professional and compassionate. She kept a conversation flowing the whole way round and it made me feel safe which I don't normally feel at all when meeting strangers. She is a credit to Asda and a credit to herself. She made my experience less painful and in the end I was actually enjoying getting to know her. We even joked around about all the spicy food I was buying from all the different isles. Anyway if my health condition stays the same I will request Sally as she was a pure delight and fun to shop with. I can't say much about the way the shop looked as I could barley see but I didn't trip over anything if that helps. I would recommend this store as they 100% put there customers first.
This was a massive store to go for some nice shopping in, where the bakery products are presented very clearly in the section! The staff were friendly and helped me use the correct self-service checkout when I tried one that wouldn't work for one item, having a pleasant experience in this clean shop. My bakery treat tasted absolutely fresh, like you'd expect when made on site.
Can't believe it! Took a dress back to Asda Shipley and was told that Customer Services closes at 8pm! The shop is open until 10pm. She said there aren't enough staff. But there were trollies full of stock everywhere, sometimes blocking the aisles. So they have enough staff to get the store restocked but nobody for Customer Service. Shows where their priorities lie - sales versus customers. Have never come across this in any other Asda Store.
The store itself is fine, but my main issue is the recent addition of pushy sales people selling broadband/ energy switching every time you try and enter or leave the store. And also the amount of aggressive begging. Twice now I've been followed to my car and one guy even banged on the window and tried to open the door when I gave him a firm "NO"! The store really needs to get a grip of these issues or they will just lose customers. I now won't shop here unless absolutely necessary.
Hygiene is absolutely atrocious How can they let people go to the toilet, when they can’t really clean them and if the toilets are this bad what does it say about the whole store
It's so hilarious they say where living in a living cost how did they rechange the shop and we gotta use self-service. Because all they care about is making money of the poor and working people even the prices they but up and placed lower prices for the own products who would buy ice cream for 5 pound a tub or 3.75 like wow atleast some of us ain't fools ain't using they shop again scamming people out of money
One of the staff member’s so rude and no customer service skills at all. Not only she was rude on top she was telling everyone around that I abused her when she was the one who were accusing me and talking over. When spoke to manager, she was still talking over and did not let me speak. Manager asked her to go, and she left looking at me with sarcastic smile. Unbelievable, no respect for customers .
Nice to see staff outside smoking and flicking ash and tabs ends where they are sat and in uniform. Looks scruffy, unhygienic and put me off from going in there to do any shopping.
I approached a Manager in Asda Shipley again today 18th May 2024 due to the lack of wheelchair Disabilities food trolley, apparently ther is still only one available for Disabled Wheelchair users. The Management recognised me when I last complained in December 2023 and now over 5 x months later its still the same excuses two broken and only one available. For such a large ssupermarket like Asda to having only one available is not right. After trying to get our shopping in a hand held basket whilst trying to push my Daughter round in her wheelchair chair was not easy at all. In the end up I had to give up trying to get the shopping I went for and ended up with only a small amount.
