I'm a loyal customer to Asda. I have been for many years now. Been in today at 17:00 hours to get some shopping. Filled my bag pack up after paying for my food and still had some left to put in a shopping bag. Asked the young lady if I could get a shopping bag. She asked if I was paying for the bag separate and I said yes. She then put the bag through and said you’ll have to pay for the other stuff that I already payed for. I tried showing her the receipt but she wasn’t bothered about looking at it. She then decided to get security to stop me and ask if I had payed for everything. I felt embarrassed and discriminated by that since I’m always at Asda buying food. It’s a shame that one person who doesn’t like life in Asda spoils the service and experience for customers. Good reviews go far but bad reviews go further. She needs an office job
Today, at the South Shields store, we saw this hair dryer priced at £22.50 as a promotional offer. However, when we scanned the code, the price showed up as £58. We spoke to some nearby employees, who confirmed that the label referred to the product but that the price was incorrect. They suggested we take the label with us to the tills. We did so, but when they checked the price difference at the till, they promptly said it was for another product and rudely snatched the label from my hand, disappearing with it. They then tried to gaslight us by claiming that the hair dryer wasn't a hair dryer, and took our product away without even asking if we still wanted it. When I asked which product the label referred to, they conveniently said it wasn't on the shelf. Liars. We felt so mistreated that we left a full trolley behind and have no intention of ever shopping there again.
Tried to use their click and collect service on Friday evening 31.05.24. After we made a complaint in the store our shopping eventually arrived after 45 minutes of waiting around. I explained to a few staff members that this was not acceptable, especially when I had a 5 month old in the car who was getting restless. I logged a complaint and was told I would hear from a manager within the next few days. I still have not heard anything from anyone. Truly awful customer service all round. Avoid if you can!
Visited your cafe recently. The service was second to none. Julie and Lesley were absolutely lovely. Nothing too much bother. A credit to your store. The food was really good and great value for money.
Had some delicious chips from here with malt vinegar and my partnerhad chips with brown sauce and kids had fish finger and chicken nuggets deal the staff are super friendly and their customer service towards us and the kids was outstanding behaviour and well mannered my kids wanted mcdonalds but I liked the asda deal as it's more value and the lady gave good advice out and kids now listened to it and had their dinner their so thanks so much for your advice and help I hope yous all putting your feet up rest of tonight as was to hot in their look after yourself and thank you for our food asda cafe team
They kick me out only bc im 13 and I'm with my friend.Its every single time,I did do some thing in the past but that was 3 years ago.Come on,it's the red hair lady,she's always nagging me to get out even tho it was 3 years ago,it wasn't even a ban I just get kicked out,every single time.This is actually crazy,just let me in and I really liked asda until this,when I was young,it was my favourite store bc it had the best thing and I needed them,and yet I still need things from here,I was just kicked out now with no explanation like every other time and that's just pissed me off,she's the boss?Nah.Gwt her out of here bro,I've told everyone like my friends and parents,just let me buy my things and then I'll leave ,she's the one causing the ruckus now.Please just let us young people in13 14 15.I hate this discrimination.Asda,tell her to stop or fire her.
BE VERY CAREFUL There's PRIVATE EYE SPY cameras in this Asda car park. Did not know that you needed to pay, but I will not go back here. Never paid to park in a supermarket before. I mean Asda of all at Boldon, Grangetown, Peterlee and Hartlepool are all free. This was a one off visiting to Shields for me to sort out a issue. Paid for my shopping at Asda, Shields and was in there 35 minutes. PrivateEye posted me a £70 fine but reduced to £40. PLEASE READ THE CAR PARK SHOP NOTICES you have to pay.
As many other people have found to their cost, parking is chargeable at this store. Asda need to make it more obvious to their customers the car park is not owned or controlled by them. Rang the store who directed me to the parking company, a better customer service would have kept this customer but there are other supermarket chains that'll now get my custom. Have a £40 fine to pay for shopping there.
I’ve been living in south sheilds for years and I always leave my bike upstairs with no problem but this time I left them there she had a problem and had no patience and I found it a bit funny and she said don’t even bother comeing back
I was helped by a lovely lad called Chris he was off work and going through till with his own stuff but stopped to show me where something was he was kind pleasant and very helpful amazing customer service
