Safety hazard . I’ve held off so long giving a review because I couldn’t be bothered to rate a supermarket out of all things. How boring, BUT! .. when it comes to safety, I feel compelled to speak up. It doesn’t take a genius to realise management has changed years ago leading to deterioration up to this point. This is not acceptable, period! The atmosphere is like stepping into a Depot. I once worked in a depot and I can see a lawsuit waiting to happen. There are too many hazards about ! Heavy pallets are being pushed around with motorised pallet trucks. That how heavy these things are. I have seen in my previous job at a depot these pallets land on people -wearing safety shoes with High-viz clothing -and were not spotted due to blind spots. let me tell you its not a pleasant sight to see. Fingers have been wiped clean off a hand because of cages too. And these are just casually left next to each other without care or attention. We have clients here for god’s sake and little children walking around, the consequences of these hazards will be dramatic. All it takes is for one of these pallet’s components to topple onto a child and seriously injure them or even worse, cause death ! I’m not going to mention the scarcity mindset games they play with not stocking up shelves other brand supermarkets are not like this nor would it be important to mention the poor quality produce section has become. It’s actually not cheaper than other supermarkets when a lower quality & B rotten food are thrown into the mix like the case with oranges or potatoes. Last but not least, there’s nothing like saying thank you for shopping with ASDA with over 20 POTHOLES at the exit of the parking lot. ASDA, it’s now evidently clear that we clients are not top priority, but ££ is. So for your sakes, if £££ is what’s most important, a multimillion £ lawsuit wouldn’t be a pleasant thing when god for bid someone’s child is killed. I hope this comment can be heard and amends be made before a tragedy happens knock on wood . At this rate, its not a matter of IF, it’s a matter of WHEN serious harm will happen ! Because it’s a Health & safety issue, i feel compelled to rate it 1
Huge Asda with everything you need. Large clothing section and home wares. There’s a McDonald’s here too. Massive car park and easy access to the train station. Only gripe is that it used to be 24 hours but isn’t anymore. I still hate the self checkout tills though.
Big supermarket so you can get pretty much what you want. They cater for all with sections for polish and Asian etc. Some of the quality of the goods is poor. The general store is quite run down, doesn’t look good. Got leaks from the clinging. The car park and petrol station are the same with potholes everywhere.
Nice big shopping centre but for such a big place they don't seem to stock up very well. I went to get some 3 volution plug in refills and most of the shelf was empty. I have noticed whenever I buy clothes or underwear, it's a bit hit and miss weather or not you can get it in your size. I wanted a £10 changing for 2 £5 pound notes and even that was an issue. I went into the photography department and they said they couldn't get into the till, they told to go to customer service, I went there, they also said they couldn't get into the till so they told me to go the travel booth they changed it for me but said they could only do it on this occasion but wouldn't be better able to in future. It's ridiculous for such a simple request, I needed it for my bus fares.
Always come Asda here it's Great and can get everything under 1 roof from fruits to cloths electrical goods Coffee shop and more So yh would recommend and also the have a Mcdonald inside not a big fan of Mack's lol but Asda is great so come on down if in the area..
Would like to mention a member of staff who went above and beyond to help me, the lady in question was called Rose Marie.I had previously asked a question but she was busy dealing with someone so I continued shopping, she came and found me, sourced the products that were offsale and helped with some other queries.Good customer service always deserves a mention.
I recently purchased two single malt whiskies and a few other items, opting to use the self-checkout. I had to wait for a staff member to approve my age, which is understandable for alcohol purchases, but the wait was excessively long. Once she approved my age, she walked away, so I had to call her back to remove the security tags. She refused to do so until I had paid, which seemed unnecessary given the previous wait. After I paid, I had to call her back again to remove the tags. Before doing so, she insisted on checking my receipt and verifying the names of the whiskies. The entire process was frustrating and time-consuming. Terrible customer service!
Great for cost aware shoppers the new scan and go. Mon to Sat 9am to 9pm also Sunday trading 10am to 4pm. This supermarket itself is open 24 hours a day from Monday to Saturdays Noted that George has reopened after being revamped . New signage going up in store too. One of the larger stores it's well situated near a busy crossroads. Can be a problem to get to during morning and afternoon rush hour . Has two floors with both lifts and escalators . There is a bank , a bureau de change in store along with Mc Donald's . There is also an ASDA cafe downstairs too along with clothing and homewares . TVs and computers and ancillarys Several areas have had a makeover and stock moved . There are wc facilities in store and a separate disabled toilet. Outside the store there is a very large car park and there is an additional cabin outside the main doors for Timpson which is now open open Please note the photo shop has now been taken over by Max Speilmann
Massive store, the biggest in Leeds area I believe. You will loose track of time and money as well Massive George's corner. They also have ASDA pharmacy and ASDA photo. Huge electrical corner and a nicepizza corner. Recently they added a sushi corner as well. They have clean public toilets and a massive parking space. The staff are fabulously helpful at all times.
This store has gone absolutely downhill. The store is in a constant state of disarray with stock cages dangerously blocking aisles ,most filled with empty boxes which would imply that stock is being replenished although in many instances lots stock quite often is seriously lacking. Shambles, not sure what happened but a once great store is being run into the ground!
