This is my local Asda and usually my favourite store, but it has become very annoying. Firstly, no matter when you go in during the day, the staff are going round with really big trolleys getting the on-line orders ready, they are in your way and then the shelves are empty!! The walk in shoppers are being pushed out.
Bank Holiday Monday and the store opened at 6am . That's the good news done, most of the Isles bloked with staff trolleys and the pickers who are trying to be as quick as possible nearly crash into you or you hear them tut or moan because you've held them up for a nano second, Then you see 3/4 staff chatting at the self service area and not one store staff till open . So your forced to go into self checkout . Those machines are a nightmare! Lost count how many times we had to wait for a member of staff to authorise an item. Left shop streesd & angry . I think we need to change shops !
l travel a bit to use this store. Excellant selection of items to purchase and at affordable prices. Love it when they have a sale of clothes. Far better than the Asda where l live
Recently moved to the area from L8. Smithdown road is an excellent Asda, choice, stock, staff, cleanliness. Sadly Bromborough is the complete opposite. Poor choice, terrible stock, staff at the self checkout gather at one end chatting, meaning you have to go and ask them for assistance, the place isn't particularly dirty but there's always boxes and cartons blocking the aisles. And god forbid you want to use a basket because there's rarely any by the entrance. I'm off to Morrisons to see if that's any better.
Waited 3 hours from this store for a delivery, no show. Finally spoke to the Delivery Manager who assured me he would get my delivery sorted, and call me back to advise roughly what time...he not only failed to call me he also didn't get a delivery sorted! Customers are hard to come by these days in retail,no wonder when this is the abhorrent level of service received. The only decent experience was the Security guy who very kindly when I called put me through to the delivery manager
Opening time is supposed to be 6am, this morning there were a dozen or so customers still waiting at nearly 6.15. One actually went round to the van loading bay & had to ask somebody there to get the doors unlocked!! This happens too often at this store, very poor
Used to love this store & the choice available. Not any more I'm afraid. Why was it necessary to get rid of the windows by the checkouts? It feels claustrophobic & dark in there now. I detest the self service tills & I'm not alone. They cause nothing but bother & are just another way of getting rid of staff & making more money for the store. It's pure greed! Staff are not very friendly or helpful & you feel monitored at every turn with the intrusive cameras, especially on those awful self service tills. It is not a relaxing experience at all & I prefer Aldi these days. It's cheaper & more efficient.
Noticed a partially blocked fire exit on the clothes section however shop was busy and well organised
This store is a joke. At just after 9am today 6th November there was just one checkout open and a fairly large queue for the self checkout. Plenty of staff wearing yellow jackets with happy to help printed on but none of them actually being helpful and opening more checkouts. I would give this store zero stars if I could.
My family and I go shopping almost every day. Every day we find that there is a lot of dirt in the women's toilets and it is almost impossible to use them. Disgusting and outrageous. We only experienced it in this store. I tried to write an email to the head office, but they have an email address which is unmonitored, so let's try here... I hope this will reach them and make them to change! cheers
