Yes this discount section is full, because, well, there are only pennies off, and doesn't really constitute a discount at all. This has to be the most ungenerous store in the UK. If you love a bargain, don't come here to the Barnes Hill Asda!
Shelves are not very full and had limited stock when we shopped here. Other customers can be rude especially if you stop to look at items on the shelves. I have definitely been to better Asda's and i will not be returning in a hurry.
Was served by a rude grumpy overzealous lady cashier. Me and my husband was at the counter. I showed my Blue Light Card and my husband who was in charge of grocery started to pay.. She refused to accept the money saying it was not right blah blah...and I must pay, not My husband. I offered to use my credit card as i had no money with me. She also threatened to block my Blue Light card. She made me feel like a cheat. I had no problems with other ASDA. By the way my money is my husband's and my husband's money is mine. So I will give one to this place. She had no right to tell us how we spend our money as a couple.
It’s a well stocked store. I’m feeling comfortable to shop around. It helps me a lot in case of emergency, in terms of clothing and cosmetics… A big carpark up by the entrance and the underground one. Lift and escalator available. The Asda rewards app is just great. It does have a cafe but the cafe can be more clean. Staff are friendly most of the times. The fridge discount section can be more organised and can have better prices.
Today was good and managed to pick up some reduced produce including 10p bread and 50p salad boxes! The milk is a whopping 1.90 though so I go elsewhere for the milk but overall Asda is a convenient shopping option for middle of the range food and products.
Recently with the items that are usually I have not been in stock however that is not too much of a problem, however my experience with staff has not been the best, and on a number of occasions the state of the store has not been the most sanitary. They do have great services such as Timpsons and click and collect for ordering online which are always helpful.
Only supermarket in the vicinity Same ASDA but with better parking and access to the store both in the front or underground car parking. Escalator and lifts available. Stimson locksmith is at the front Cash point at the front Clothing Specs Household items and decors And usual ASDA stuff Blue light card holders get 10 percent off Scan facility available. Self filling fuel air water on the way in/out. 3 hours parking Charging ports available in the underground parking.
Ive always had a good experience in this store. Its always stocked although its a pain when they move stock about after we have got used to where its positioned, i guess thats business progression though.
We had cold tomato soup at the cafe ...and the toilet stinks of urine in men's and ladies. One star rating until they have improved.
Staff are friendly and helpful, shelves tend to be well stocked most of the time .Only downside is self service tills only , always a problem with these tills they are not convenient .I don't like being filmed while scanning shopping it's one thing to have a camera on items being scanned but why do I need 1 in my face filming me ! No PRIVACY is an issue .1/2 staffed tills open with queues of stacked high trolley's,which I prefer to wait at even for a few items can't beat a friendly smile n chat with a cashier ,with no problems scanning either .ASDA not everyone WELCOMES self scan ,with less staff no privacy ! So you as an global corporation can SAVE MONEY & spy on us .
