I am shocked at how downhill this store has went. I used to be a delivery pass holder and did my weekly shop for years with Asda. I had a previous bad experience with this store in February 2025 where I ordered 38 items online and upon collection of the order 15 were either unavailable or substituted that's 40% of the order. I didn't return again until yesterday Friday 12th December 2025 and decided to give them another go thinking that the February experience may have been a one off - i was wrong, yesterday they took bad service to another level.nnI ordered a click and collect order for collection between 3pm and 3.30pm. I wanted that time as I work locally and it suited me to collect the shopping straight after work. Before I arrived at the store I checked my emails to see if my order had been confirmed but there was no confirmation, I decided to go anyway as the collection was booked. I arrived at 3pm and noted that it wasn't particularly busy just one other car there. A staff member greeted me took my name and said he'd check on my order. It was a particularly cold day and I was left sitting for 45 mins in my car before I received any further communication from staff. During that time 2 other cars received their orders so it wasn't at all busy. The staff member approached me at 3.45pm - 45 mins after I arrived and said my order wouldn't be much longer, I said if it was gonna be much longer I'd need to go as I needed to get home from work. At just before 4pm the order was wheeled out to my car and I was told to leave anything I didn't want for a refund before the staff member quickly departed. No mention to me of any potential changes to my order. As I went through the first few baskets I thought I was given someone else's order as it was vastly different to what I had ordered. With no staff in sight to help me I logged onto the asda app and noticed that the order had just been processed and I was shocked as over 30% of my order was either substituted or not available. This has got to be a regular occurrence to others as I noted how quiet the click and collect was during my time there and how bad the service and communication had been. While reviewing the remaining order that was correct I noticed that the cheese they attempted to give me was nearly 2 weeks out of date! Says it all about the standards of this store, picture attached.nnI returned a substantial amount of my order due to substitutes and quality issues which i still await them being processed as refunds. I doubt I will ever return to asda as a customer again and especially in the Antrim store.
Absolutely disgrace. Used the scanner to scan my groceries to be told at the till that they had to scan all my groceries again. As the scanner had froze. Then the girl on the till had a serious attitude by this time I was getting more frustrated. I was getting a £5 voucher as an apology when it came to it I only got £2.50. The girl on til was ripping the stuff out of the bag to scan. Really disappointed in the service. Manners go a long way get your act together Asda
Bought two books yesterday which were meant to be on offer £7.43 for two. Discovered I was charged full price for both. I dont live in Antrim so telephoned Asda this morning. Was asked loads of details and told I would have to claim through e.mail. Discovered this wasn't Antrim branch but head office & refused to give me Antrim tel.number....All I wanted was member of staff to go to book shelf & check prices for me. Simple! Just had minor surgery today so will have to trek back tomoro to check for myself. Fuming!
Good selection of products and decently friendly staff although what happened today truly baffled me.nI purchased paracetamol with my partner and while waiting for approval, i was stared at for about 15 seconds by a lady who said nothing until i asked her what exactly she needed. She then asked for ID and I explained that i did not have ID on me but my partner did he was the one who would be purchasing the shopping. She took his ID, looked at it then proceeded to look at ME and question me on my partners birth date. I told her it wasn't my ID and that she should ask him. It seems minor but the staff members attitude was horrendous and it seems a little strange when my partner was perfectly able to answer her questions if she had any considering he was speaking to her about his ID about 10 seconds before this. Very unprofessional & confusing.
Large Asda, with much more selection than a regular Asda, more akin to a Tesco Extra in size.nRegularly poor stock in fruit and veg, frustrating as the rest of the store is generally well stocked with good selections.
