Brilliant local museum! Two of my favourite objects - a tourist memento in the form of a colourful boot and a enigmatic reindeer-engraved medieval-ish spoon. It covered a wide variety of time periods and topics, with plenty of information and activities to keep kids engaged.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Proper local museum displaying prehistory flints, to objects reflecting the workings of this lovely old town. A lot of enthusiasm has gone into making it very welcoming. Coffee and tea available. Easy access. Public toilets nearby 20p. Car park.
Nice place Some exhibits seem to be crammed in so difficult to see but overall it is a museum worth visiting if only once.
Can't be enthusiastic about this place, but there again, I have an infernal itch, when it comes to being charged for entry into ANY museum, art gallery or historical house or castle. It amazes me that some of THE richest landowners in the UK...in this instance...The Duke of Norfolk, have their names emblazoned on plaques throughout this tiny museum, but rely on public donations to keep it running with the aid of volunteers? Nice place for a coffee and a cake though.
We had a wonderful visit to this informative and fascinating museum. It is packed full of interesting items and the history of the town and the castle kept us riveted for some time. The staff were very kind and helpful. If you like history then this is the place to go!
We had an interesting visit to Arundel Museum this morning. Although the building is not very big there is a surprising amount of information to study about the history of one of our favourite local towns. A one way system is in operation as you walk round, although in the 90 minutes we spent there only two other visitors appeared. If you are interested in the history of the area this needs to be on your list of places to visit.
Small museum. Staff is good and helpful.
Small but interesting given the long history of Arundel. Very soft on the Duke of Norfolk given he helped set up the place that is the price you pay. I would say it might rate a four star if you bring young children as they're are good activities for them to do.
Interesting , grab a drink , information, little shop and near the castle
Lovely little museum with lots of very interesting items to entertain old and young equally, it has a little shop too. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and it doesn't cost the earth to pop in either. Easy to access the rest of Arundel from there. I had a great time there.
