Story

Artsmill in Linden Mill is a charity, a not-for-profit arts space which encourages participation in the arts through the provision of high quality activities including workshops, lectures, studio spaces, talks, poetry readings, exhibitions and music events.

The David Wright Gallery was created and is named after the originator of Artsmill, David Wright, after his death in May 2013. It is open to the public during exhibitions from Wednesday to Sunday. Please see website at www.artsmill.org for current exhibitions, past exhibitions and future exhibitions.

the Art cafe and Gallery Lounge is open during exhibition dates and is run entirely by volunteers.

The Artschool, Gallery and Gallery Lounge area are available for workshops, exhibitions, group work and installations. Please contact Artsmill for viewing and information on hiring our space.

My experience of Artsmill is that the place is welcoming, the people positive and friendly and their exhibitions are of a high standard.
A welcoming community hub. The first place where I've experienced unisex toilets- and why not? The lecture room we used was overly hot as the sun streamed through windows and blinds or curtains are necessary to make it more pleasant.
a genuinely ambitious art and community venue - wonderful exhibitions, events fr babies and toddlers, a shop and a lovely cafe - and not forgetting a time machine! It's not too far off the beaten track - just up the road from the town hall.
Really kooky. Visited for the open studios event in the summer and loved it. Had a browse through the items for sale, looked at the lovely artwork and had a coffee in the little cafe area.
Love this place. Exhibitions changing on a regular basis. Brilliant coffee in THREADS cafe. Artschool and loads of studio and workshop space to rent.
