I still remember walking into the shop for the first time and not wanting to leave! At first, I took up watercolour lessons with Gill once a week, which turned into twice a week, and soon I found myself stopping by to help around the shop even when I didn’t have a lesson scheduled – visiting the store is pure joy. Gill is a fabulous teacher, offering you all the support and guidance you may need as you find your way through Art. Gill’s professionalism and passion for both her students and the Art itself are inspiring and motivating, while her husband Adam’s wit and humour add flavour to your day (and he is ready to offer fantastic Pottery lessons also). The shop has a lovely and warm atmosphere that simply makes you want to spend more time there. All the materials on sale are of great quality. Imagine the feeling of starting a new painting with a cup of warm tea on the table next to you, and a kind and keen eye of a great teacher by your side - this is what it feels like every time I come into Art Shop and Pottery. Basically, don’t hesitate, don’t pass by – just come in!

Such a lovely place to go and paint pottery. I took my kids and did hand prints on mugs and plates for gifts. They had so much fun and the people who run it are great with kids and very helpful

Exceptional pottery and painting lessons, great value too as I felt I got much more than I paid for. I signed up just for fun, never really expecting to make the fabulous pottery that Adam helped me create. Thanks to Adam and Gill I will definitely continue with pottery - for anyone who needs the extra nudge to try, this is definitely the place to start!!
