Nice coffee. Pizzas and a range of other trendy menu dishes available. A little more expensive than some local alternatives however parking outside is free.
It's completely changed since my last visit and unfortunately it's not for the better. Pathetic over priced menu with little on offer. The shops inside have been replaced by a candle emporium and the whole feel of the place has gone. Avoid at all costs
Driving all over island and there are very few places at this time of year to grab a cup of coffee and use the restroom! If you need to go, this is your place! It also has a grocery store and gift shop. It’s quite large inside
MINUS 5 stars!! My PREGNANT wife asked to use the toilets politely and the bald guy with the glasses attitude was absolutely stinking he said said NO Customers only and turned his back on her! She came out crying. It’s been playing on my mind all day. Good start to the holidays I’ve never left a review even but felt this was necessary.
Terrible service, awful food and abusive owner who threatened us in the car park if we didn't 'move on.' Embarrassment to Portree and the hospitality industry. Please avoid at all costs. Go to The Granary/Mackenzie's Bakery in the town square instead.
Had coffee and a brownie , the coffee was weak and watery , brownie was dry and uninspiring, polite enough service but nothing worth going back for
Had lunch here today , it was nice food but way too expensive, won't be eating there again. Possibly new owners , as the prices never used to be so ridiculous for food .
We visited this centre, signposted as the ‘Aros Experience’ and unfortunately ours was not a good experience! We visited at the end of July 2020 and adhered to the COVID-19 guidelines, wearing masks, one way system around the shop. We then decided to call at the cafeteria for light refreshments. On entering this section we perused the room and proceeded to sit at a clean vacant table, just as we had done at all previous cafes during our stay on Skye. The ‘waitress’ called out to me saying ‘no, you can’t sit there as it hasn’t been disinfected’. We waited until she had cleaned the table then asked if it was okay to sit down and she rather abruptly stated ‘no, go back to the door’ to which we complied albeit felt she had been quite rude and bossy and could have politely asked if we could wait at the door and then she would take us to a table. I hasten to add that there were no sign or notices informing customers of the ‘rules’. She then joined us and we asked for a table for two and she replied that they wouldn’t have a table free until another 20-30 minutes. There were clearly tables available. We decided to leave and as we turned to go we heard the next customers being greeted with enthusiasm and familiarity then taken to a table immediately. I believe the staff need a few lessons in customer relations! We drove up the road to another establishment and enjoyed hot drinks and delicious homemade chocolate brownies. We were rather pleased that we hadn’t given Aros our custom after all.
I've visited the Aros Centre a few times now and loved my visit each time. We had a beautiful forestry walk which is accessed from the car park at Aros Visitor Centre followed by a nice relaxing lunch at the restaurant. There is always some interesting events at the Aros Community Theatre. I've had many happy visits here and hope to visit many more times in the future.
Sticky tables. Ordered food and coffee the coffee arrived then waited over a hour and no food. What a shambles would never stop there again
