I've been going to Arlesey medical centre since it opened. The best surgery I've ever been to. I can always get an appointment when I need one. They're thoughtful and thorough and always treat me as an individual not a number. I can't praise them highly enough - from the doctors to the nurses to the reception staff. The NHS at its best.

Very helpful, polite staff and easier to get an appointment than any other surgery around here!

Not impressed at all with the main GP at the surgery. He's not the best at handling sensitive subjects like mental health and offers no real advice at all. I actually hate having to book an appointment as I know it'll probably be with him

Long story short, regarding Dr. Skipping Rope. I moved to the middle of nowhere, joined the surgery, told them I needed a full MOT. I'm a full time Carer so my own health is very important. Who can serve from an empty vessel? Nobody. He agreed to bloods & an ECG. I booked an extensive appointment so I was there, telling the head doctor of the surgery I had pre-diagnosed mental health issues, heart problems, mild scoliosis, car crash this year, etc, the whole shabang, also the fact I wasn't eating or sleeping properly. I had lost three stone in the last few months - pale and bruised - did he have any cares? Not many. I literally could be dying, I still don't know. He didn't check me physically whatsoever, nor had he retrieved my history from my previous doctors. The computer kept going down. I came in, shaking, anxious, and clearly, I needed some help. He took a primitive, hippy approach, no doubt because I have dreadlocks (typical), he wouldn't give me medication, even though I explained the medication I needed and was on. Good old beta blockers to help my heart rate but no, didn't even offer some kind of intervention. So whilst I anxiously, hysterically, yet immaturely sat there laughing at him requesting for me to do a sweaty exercise that gets my heart racing before bed. He then went onto recommending me to going to poundland and buying a skipping rope, and skipping before bed, a hot bath, a hot drink of milk. I don't consume dairy - sorry my diet preferences never propped up, how considerate. Did he know that? Did he ask? I don't like skipping. What the flying toad is that about? Went onto see the nurse the next day, quick, had my blood results back in a letter fairly quick too? and to my surprise it was so informal - literally just saying the blood results were "borderline" - borderline what? Thank you for heightening my anxiety whilst being so very informative. I have a borderline problem and no prognosis, no follow up appointment and advice on eating citrus fruits to juice and I have a frigging stomach ulcer - do you want me to die, my stomach ulcer will explode? No diet consideration. I made a complaint, no response. To top it all off I am worried about the other patients and my youngest child has a severe disability so I will NOT be going back there, I could go on forever but boy. It's gruesome enough, I mean, you walk into the door there's no hand sanitiser, went to do my blood pressure - machines broken. Checked the plug socket - it was turned on. May as well be a dude with a clipboard in a cave. *phantom of the opera themetune* primitively, excruciating experience if you suffer with anxiety. This experience left me at a loose end, medication withdrawal, heightened anxiety and sheer disappointment, as well as worry for other patients. Won't be palmed off without complaining.
