I spent New Years at the hotel. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious, clean and well presented. Food was amazing quality. The New Years celebrations, generosity and entertainment from Eugene Whytemade this the best New Years i have had. I would highly recommend. I hope to be back soon and do the murder mystery soon.Rooms: 4/5

I didn't stay here, just had a drink. It's very pretty with a great view in the bar however, although it was a midweek evening, it and Dunoon generally were quiet. Not the hotel's fault. It would be 5 stars except it was quite chilly, in June. Busier it would be warmer so it's a fine line, but it's difficult to relax. We kept our coats on. It seems gorgeous though and I would stay there.

The place is a joke i would not recomend eating here as the food is not good they have stuff in the freezers been in there since 2018 food is left out the entire day until the close of the kitchen even when it is put away at the end of the night isnt cpvered properly nor labelled they have more freezers than fridges they cook their salmon from frozen no wonder all the complaints its dry same goes for steaks, a ton of freezer burnt food, the amount of food that is wasted in this hotel is a joke been 20kg of beef mince sit in the fridge for 2 weeks on end without being touched that had to be slyly thrown away so the boss didnt find out

We stayed for the murder mystery weekend and that was fun, it included a treasure trail/ walkabout in Dunoon which was fun.  Hotel itself badly needs updating though. I get that the building is old and there's a charm to it but the floors were incredibly wobbly at best and bed wasn't too comfy.  The friendly staff needs better supported

We had lunch here on August bank holiday Monday. The service we received was very friendly. Views are nice and we were lucky to have good weather. The meals were ok and the prices were reasonable. If we were to visit Dunoon again, I would stop in for a quick drink and bite to eat.

Food is good and value for money. Table booked in advance but no-one let waiting staff know.Service: 3/5

Wonderfully friendly, helpful and attentive staff, they couldn't do enough for us as a group. However, the rooms kind of let the whole experience down, they were clean but beds weren't very comfortable, decor was a bit dowdy and we all had difficulties with key cards for our doors.
