Came in store on 07/10/24 around 8pm,nI had bought laptop that had stopped working I had 10 days left on the 30 day returns period.nnThe lady on shift lied to me saying argos don't deal with this and i need to go through the manufacturer, i told her i am in the 30 days period and argos should be responsible for this and refund or exchange the faulty item, she refused stating again to contact the manufacturer as only the manufacturer will help me as its a manufacturing fault.nnThen she saw i had also purchased argos care insurance and told me go through them if the manufacturer doesn't resolve my issue.nnI dont understand why can you not honour argos’s policy for the 30 day return of faulty products. I told her i will show her the faults and problems on the laptop she refused telling me once again to contact manufacturer or go through argos insurance.nnI understand the employee might not want to do a refund as they might have pressure from managers to decrease loss.nThe manger needs to know they are just an employee as well, breaking consumer rights laws and not honouring Argos policies, in the end this would just put the mangers job at risk.nnI purchased a product which was faulty and i am within the 30 day period which is offered by argos.nnMy consumer rights have been affected here and i am upset and will be asking HR to start an investigation on this matter and have their employee sanctioned.
The shop was clean and presentable, but the email didn't mention that I would need ID for the Lego set that I was picking up on account of it being 18+. This caused a minor delay as I had to go home to collect my ID. In addition, the box was in terrible condition, presumably from something heavy being placed on top of the box. This was a shame because the Lego was a gift.nnOn a more positive note, the customer service received was good and the lady did her job well.
Argos!! When I ordered the item it was a different colour to the actual colour of the item. I came here to return an item and Nazia, a duty manager, refused to issue a refund. They said that we needed to go to the branch that we bought it from in the first place which I don’t necessarily understand because all the branches are basically the same. 19/08/24 time around 05: 20pm
they will give you all kind of reasons to not allow you to return a product. before it was different, but the new store manager does not care about customers, just cares about revenue... the laptop that they sold got a blue screen error and would not accept it for return as they were not seeing the blue screen when returned... also my friend wanted to return a waterproof ring camera, and they refused saying it was water damaged... so sorry for Argos, but i will stop buying from them
Ordered and paid online to collect the PS4 game Tekken 7. Age restriction as can be seen on the items page on Argos is 16. The instruction on the email collection confirmation just says you need to be at least that age to collect, which in this case is 16. Went today to collect, unfortunately I didn't have any photo ID with me, but was happy to show all my bank cards, and I even had pictures on my phone of my passport and driving licence. The lady with a Bob cut at the collection desk said you need to be 25 to collect. But as you can see that's no were stated in either the items page on Argos nor the email collection confirmation. And I also do not look younger than 16 I can assure you. Just another example where common sense went out the window. Told them to cancel and walked out.
