If I could leave 0 stars I would. I am actually in shock over the customer service I received from the branch manager. And from previous reviews I am happy to see it wasn’t just me. How many complaints do you need to receive to fire her. She’s tarnishing the Argos name. You should never have someone like that represent your business. I am a manger in a very successful retail shop myself And if one of my employees treat a customer like they they’d be out the door. I purchased a £70 bin to which the pedal stopped working months later. It has a one year warranty on it so I decided to get it exchanged. Due to being a retail manager myself, know my rights. She refused to exchange it and said it was my fault it broke. I kindly tried to explain that she was accusing me of lying and she has no proof to say I broke it and as it’s within warranty I’m within my rights to get it exchanged. She then stayed Argos policy over ruled my rights. I asked her to show me the policy and she said find it yourself and I stated im a customer asking for help and you’ve literally told me to help myself. I said I was happy for them to send it off to a manufacturer to prove that it’s not accidental damage and they said it’s a bin you obtain issues over time and they can’t send it off. I stated I understand that but that’s why there is a one year warranty as there shouldn’t be an issue within the year. After receiving terrible help from customer service who were useless and said it’s whatever the manager says double shocked I went to another Argos who were amazing and exchanged it with no issues. I’ll be writing a formal complaint next.
Claire the team manager is truly the most horrific individual I have encountered in a very long time, she is absolutely vile. Judging by the previous reviews, I am clearly not the only person to experience this and Argos really need to reconsider who they have representing them. Honestly the customer service here was diabolical! I paid for a 2 year replacement on a bike I purchased in November 2023. I was informed they no longer offer the 2 year replacement on this bike, so I can no longer have I, I explained that I am not purchasing that now, as I have already paid for it in November when Argos DID offer this, I wasn't asking to repurchase this, just the 2 hear placement that i purchased in November to be honored. I was not repurchasing the bike, I was replacing it. Claire did not listen, she was VERY obstructive, she offered no solution to the issue, she did not allow me to finish a sentence. She was extremely aggressive towards me, raised her voice and banged the surface when shouting at me. Told me I need to leave the store. After asking her not to bang the surface, and rasie her voice at me, she informed me that she 'would do what she wants' and once again told me I need to leave the store. I then started to reciprocate Claire's energy to which I was told cameras had been switched. Claire then stopped banging the table stopped raising her voice, but continued to refuse to listen. I'm yet to have this issue resolved as Claire has refused to resolve it.
I should not even give a star for the service ive just received, an employee I belive Claire was called as only half of her badge was visible ,very poor service she provided to being with I've told her I have an order number amd showed her the ft and code numbers she said to read it to her which I did then she made me repeat that 2 more times saying she can't find the order ,showed her the ft number and code again she told me that I have to read it which to be honest she could clear see it , then she run in the back not even saying anything she comes back pass me the parcel , I did not say nothing to her as her service was very very poor , once I've turned my back to leave she's like YOU WELCOME , like honestly the disgusting behaviour she had is not acceptable, I did not want to cause a scene so I've left , not profesional at all I'm quiet sure that others have complained about her , probably she picks and choose who to be nice to , probably because of my accent probably she believed I don't deserve to receive a good customer service. Hope I don't get her again next time I will be served .
Not the Argos you remember!nAny problems with an order you've bought and paid for especially if you dared to open it then you need to phone Customer Service - although you're standing in their shop they cannot help apparently...nSeemingly a pick up point for online orders if you're lucky and its already been delivered to the Sainsbury's.
Brilliant service:nI purchase products from eBay & often it’s easier to collect them from the pick-up location here at Argos.nSomehow an error in the logistics made locating my parcel difficult.nnAdam & Sophie reassured me they’ll find it, checked CCTV and found my package in the store within 10 minutes.nAll the while managing the flow of paying/collecting customers keeping the que to a minimum.nnGreat work, polite and professional, representing Argos very wellnnEthan
