Stayed here recently and NEVER again! Absolutely awful place. Lights falling off wall, bedroom damp, windows wouldn't open. Shared bathroom with recessed toilet, every time I stood up I banged my head. Karaoke in bar one night that could be heard two floors up. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, so much so, we had to eat out for rest of stay. Rooms: Musty smell. Windows wouldn't open. Radiator and wallpaper hanging off wall. Safety: Lights hanging off wall. Windows would not open.
A lovely, cozy, quaint place to stay! The bar was lovely too! Only gripe: it's a bit misleading for them to say "free parking" when really, they have a couple spots in a narrow alley that are always full and very sketchy to get in, and if those spots are taken, get ready to pay £3.10 an hour on the street Food & drinks: Bar was great, drinks were reasonably priced and staff was lovely and chatty!
The staff are racist and vile. They treated us with no respect. If you are looking for something cheap, I suggest staying here but just have a little respect for yourself and pick somewhere nicerRooms: 1/5
Lovely hotel. Great room. Friendly and helpful staff. 5Rooms: 5/5
Good bed and breakfast comfortable rooms and very handy for central Edinburgh Food & drinks: Has a bar in premises and a continental breakfast available for 9.95
We spent two nights in this hotel while we were in Edinburgh. The room was nice, even if there was a broken chair. We didn't need it. The hotel provides with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel for two. The bathroom was big and had a window. The staff was absolutely amazing and the lady who waited for the breakfast was very lovely and funny. The only problem is that they forgot to inform us to book the breakfast the night before.
Handsome European pension-style hotel with local ambience, cute vintage building, swingin bar, friendly staff, good vibes, tremendous value, would stay again.Rooms: 5/5
On arrival felt welcome straight away, stayed in room 8 lovely comfy clean room. Hairdryer and beautiful flffy white bath towels. Having the bar was a bonus nought a few drinks and sat outside in the sunshine. Breakfast was amazing Sharon and her husband are an asset to the hotel. Excellent stay value for money. Bus service right outside the hotel. Well done full team.
Handy location for visiting Edinburgh. Great craic from the staff and comfortable and clean rooms. Surprisingly quiet despite being on the night bus route.Rooms: 4/5
We went for a long weekend. Stayed in this hotel. The room was very spacious, cute little bathroom but functional and clean. The check-in lady was very nice to us, we arrived very early and already could go in our room. The bar was the bar, we watched some football. The breakfast was what you expect, we got fresh maked toast, porridge and had nice muffins. The bus stop is very close. Would go here again.
