A well maintained, reasonably priced, not too challenging, double loop, course.nnAn ideal course for those who want a not too challenging, round of golf.nnIts wide fairways allow for minor wayward shots, and well maintained greens allow for an enjoyable few hours of play.nnStaff are friendly, and there are snacks, soft drinks and bottled beers available in the club house.
This is my local club when I come back home and have always enjoyed playing Aqualate. Plenty of space on the driving range, well maintained course even despite the horrific weather we’ve had this year and a decent putting/chipping green. I believe there are 10 different holes with the majority being just a different tee.nnI would always have given Aqualate 5 stars but compared with when I last played 9 holes the price had gone up from £15 to £20. What’s strange is that 18 holes is the same price £20. Myself and all of my younger mates all feel £20 is a lot of money for 9 holes or golf. This unfortunately means that other courses locally are simply better value and that’s a shame.nnPerhaps they could consider making 9 holes £15 and 18 holes £20 which makes much more sense to me. Or perhaps a discounted rate for under 30s who are struggling for cash these days.
A hidden treasure that is very well kept. Welcoming staff and members who know their game. Well worth the drive from Birmingham. Will be visiting again this summer for sure.
Weren’t accommodating when trying to book a tee time. Laughed down the phone when I said it was for one person and said it was too busy.
Lovely course, the first time playing in good weather there. Challenging and quite forgiving for a novice like myself
