Ordered a 1.4k outdoor kitchen. Unit was damaged and packaged for delivery. Damage not discovered until fitting. Awful customer service - rubbish audio and pet noises in background. They claim under contract they have no liability. They shipper damaged kit and found ways to make me liable. The starting assumption was that I had broken it. Not okay.
AWFUL AWFUL awful company avoid at all costs. I brought an appliance from them and it broke in less than two months. I exercised my right to warranty and they sent an engineer from a third party they work with. The communication between them and their vendors is awful. Almost a week after the visit id heard nothing from either company. I had to ring again for an update to be told refunds are only available for up to thirty days even though I have a year warranty on an expensive appliance and it broke in two months. Got bounced between vendors when trying to have an update and was fobbed off and told they still have no report and can't send me a replacement unless there are no parts available. Doing without this appliance impacts my quality of life and I would advise everybody to avoid this company at all costs as their appliances and customer service is terrible. If they had been willing to refund me or sort my issue for what is obviously a bad failing of theirs I wouldn't mind but they are acting like I have no right to a refund or replacement when their product broke in no time at all. Not to mention the appliance flooded my kitchen so actually caused me more damage than if i had never bothered to purchase it. Clearly set up to be as difficult as possible to have any kind of repair, refund or customer service.
Placed an order with Appliances Direct on 23.07.24 for a dishwasher that was "in stock". Earliest delivery slot was 31.07.24. I was telephoned by Appliances Direct to confirm someone would be in to receive the dishwasher delivery on 31.07.24. I received an email on 30.07.24 to say delivery date was now 07.08.24. On 06.08.24 I was emailed. to say that it was now going to be 13.08.24 for delivery. Having cancelled the kitchen installer twice I put them on hold and naturally he's eager to get finished, as we are too, so I rang today 21.08.24 to see what on earth was going on. Without letting me know by email, I was now told that it's going to be 02.10.24 delivery. The Appliances Direct representative said they could look at what alternative models were available from stock and I asked what discount they would offer in the circumstances and they said half of the delivery charge £13 was as much as they could offer. Pathetic customer service. I gave them 24 hours to come up with a suitable, discounted alternative offer to put things right and nothing, not even a return call to tell me about any alternative models in stock. A complete waste of my time. Over to Argos.
Worst company I've ever used. Sent an portable air conditioning unit classed as refurbished it had parts broken, when I ordered it has no description on the website so I assumed it was a return or may even be new it was far from it. Didn't want to give a refund at first either I said it wasn't safe and fit for purpose, did manage to get a refund but it's cost me £9.99 postage and then £15 to send it back as they wanted £20 to pick it up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Great products and prices. Terrible delivery in central London. I ordered a washing machine for next day delivery in SW10. They used ArrowXL who have a terrible rating on Google. My experience… Terrible. They call you “up to” 30 minutes before arrival. In my case that was 7 minutes before arrival. Not time for my tenant to race back to let them in he took 15 minutes. What use is that? I complained to Arrow XL “customer support” and was told that “up to 30 minutes” is their policy, so they refused to go back. So that means that they could phone you 10 seconds before arrival and still be compliant with their own policy. Useless!! The driver told me 7 minutes before arrival that he would phone me if no one was there to take delivery - he didn’t. They claimed to have left a calling card - there was none. Second delivery attempt 4 days later was successful but I wanted next day!
Ordered an oven claimed as in stock! Delivery date arranged and disposed of old oven awaiting arrival. Delivery was delayed on 3 occasions and company very difficult to contact... only via only chat. Eventually got a refund and purchased elsewhere after 3 weeks without an oven. DO NOT BUY FROM APPLIANCES DIRECT.
Don’t expect reliability or honesty. We bought a hot tub deal which included a chemicals starter kit worth £29.99. We paid an additional fee for next day delivery so that, as it was midweek, we’d be up and running for the weekend. It came without the chemicals so we weren’t able to use but were assured they’d be sent separately. Two emails and a telephone call confirmed this but they never arrived. After 5 days we were advised to buy them locally as they were out of stock, which we did for £25. They’ve accepted the correspondence and assurance on the phone were “not accurate” and offered £10 compensation. So, 5 days aggravation and £25 out of pocket. Seems their reputation is worth £10..‍
Really bad customer services. I ordered an air conditioning unit 2 months ago, it arrived badly damaged. They collected it a month ago. To date they are unable to call me to advise what is happening. All I get each time I make contact is an email saying someone will call me the next day. No one ever does, and no one will even acknowledge that I have been waiting all of this time. Its so bad a service its a joke... you have to laugh otherwise you would cry ! Picture included showing it wrapped up very securely for sending back.
Tumble drier ordered 6 months ago, delivered faulty, replacement sent arrived faulty, 3rd replacement arrived today 3 months wait and faulty again !! Replacement machine in my mind is a refurb not a new replacement. In summary recommend Haier no, Appliance direct customer service is non existent, if you need to speak to them be prepared for a scripted conversation, no ownership or actual decent outcome offered, attitude is very much don't care so do you want a replacement or refund nothing else..... Garbage !!!
Used in past with no issues however this time i ordered a refurbished tumble dryer and it arrived faulty. They tried to pass fault to the manufacturer and I ended up having to get advice from trading standards to get them to take responsibility. Took over a month for it to be fixed.
