I have had to use the services of this practice frequently in the past year and have always found the receptionists to be attentive, responsive and most of all compassionate. The clinical staff, from the GPs to the nursing team have been fantastic and always responded to my needs. General Practice can sometimes get a bad press but honestly, my experience has been very positive and they all deserve the five stars I have given them here. Trying to book an appointment for a medication review for my partner who is 76yrs old and has heart failure, Stage 4 kidney failure, anemia etc. No notification that they're on hold, just found out using Systm online.nTold there are no appointments and try again next Thursday afternoon. What?!?nSo he's just supposed to not take any medications for life threatening conditions and cross his fingers that he might get an appointment before he gets seriously ill, or worse!nThis is really not good enough!!
Had my appointment cancelled over 3 times now, turned up for another one, for the receptionist to tell me it had been cancelled for the 3rd time due to nurse sickness, the same nurse who I have been assigned 3 times on a Wednesday. Now have to wait another 3 weeks for another appointment
Waited 3 weeks for an appointment. The doctor was over 40 mins behind. Had to leave as I have to go to work and the next appointment is in another month. Absolutely appalling to have something medical delayed so long! Will be looking for another GP
I have always found the surgery to be really good, they have lots of nurses and doctors with different specialisms and they do see you when they can. Whenever I have needed an urgent appointment or one for my young baby they have always found a way to fit us in. I think they are amazing to be functioning so well under the circumstances we face in the UK at the moment. The receptionists are also all really friendly and helpful and kind.nI think appointments can take a while to come through at any surgery in the UK because so many people in this country have voted for a government that have destroyed our NHS and want to hit frying pans with spoons on their front doorsteps instead of pay our life saving doctors, nurses and care staff a fair living wage. It really isn't logical to blame the local doctors surgery or their amazing staff for that.
