First time visiting with family and loved the experience. We sat in the corner and told my young son that the black lady ghost would visit him if he didn't eat all his dinner! He never left anything! Brilliant! The atmosphere was lovely a really pretty building, the staff were lovely and polite and service was quick. The food for all concerned was delicious and arrived piping hot. It was so good I only managed pictures of the starter! Would thoroughly recommend. Covid restrictions in place are masks whilst moving about and staff are disinfecting surfaces between customers. There is a small carpark to the rear, we parked at the bottom of the hill and walked it up so gives us a little work out.
This delightful 1700's Inn is considered the most haunted Inn in Scotland. The food is amazing and the service was sensational. Wish we could have eaten here more than once! Try the Haggis appetizer!
Lovely service, very friendly welcome and throughout our meal from Karen. John the chef made one of the best meals I have eaten! Amazing portions. Delicious quality. Decent prices. All of us were stuffed. Can't wait for our next visit!
Another absolutely gorgeous meal. We had to try the peanut m&m cheese cake and it was immense. Kerry-Anne is a fantastic server. She made sure we all had what we needed. We will be back again. X
Great food fab friendly staff value for money lovely atmosphere
Dog friendly bar with good food. Largish portions. Walk ins OK during weekday afternoons but you would want to book table for weekends and busy evenings. Goodvalue and good service.

Went for James late birthday lunch, and cannot complain about anything from start to finish of the meal, atmosphere is always as usual friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much bother. Food was delicious, staff really friendly and having a laugh really really worth a visit. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you all.
Went today for lunch. Had no record of our booking .kindly gave us a table. Lady in charge was clearly overwhelmed and short staffed. Food was inedible, service non existent and attitude was even more upsetting as a guest . It’s hard to justify paying these prices for food that you just can’t eat, I truly understand you get what you pay for! Not being able to eat at all is unacceptable.
Just had one of the best meals I’ve had all year. Got the steak and a pasta dish which were fresh, tasty and served super quick. Had the same steak from Miller & Carter a few weeks ago, which had nothing on this. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Couldn’t believe the bill either! Definitely will be back, service with a smile And Big George was allowed outside in the dog area
