Nice, small and well organised train station. Large, free car park on site as well as bike racks. Worth to mention there is also bus stop in here as well as taxis. Place has facilities for disabled and there are couple of grocery stores just round the corner.
Toilets is closed on sunday
Never again ,rung day before to get details of train and bus service to the hospital , was told bus was 9 .41 went out to get bus it didn't arrive so went back to see board next one was 9 .59 got it so waited 45 minutes to get bus to hospital don't know why there's not a bus waiting for every train they took ulster bus for 3 people a would have thought a town bus would have done , then on whey home got out of hospital at 6.10 got bus right away so took about 5-6 mins train was in station when we got to barriers thought we were getting train straight away then train went off so had to wait to 6.47 for next train , had to sit outside train station freezing not good. for someone just out of cancer treatment don't know why bus couldn't come 5 mins earlier to suit train but appreciate some one who could tell me the answer to this,I will never use this service again absolute disgrace Ulster bus from hospital me and wife the only people to use it at that time
The place was dead it was Sunday after all. Got train to Belfast it went through all stops Mossley West, YorkGate, Lanyon Place, City Hospital, and Botanic, and Great Victoria Street to get to the end of the line at Great Victoria Street.
I'm a rail enthusiast, and Antrim is my local station, therefore I visit it quite a lot. I can't seem to think of anything wrong with Antrim Station, I've always liked it. Has nice new refurbished buildings which now adjoins onto the bus station, which allows quick connections to areas further afield via bus. I also see a new coffee shop has opened in the main station building quite recently, which would be perfect for commuters I guess boarding/leaving trains as it is literally adjacent to platform one. Staff are friendly and helpful enough, again have had no problems with them. The only issue I have had is that the information booth is not always manned - and I feel there needs to be someone in there all the time to provide details to those in need of it. But I guess the large display board is a substitute for that anyway. To conclude, I love Antrim Station and always will.
No toilets, vending machines or covered seats
Good place. But the train station toilet closes with closure of office
