What a great place to eat. Incredible selection of steaks and fish. All very high quality and cooked to perfection. Staff all very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable on the cuts. Just can't fault it. After going all out on steak I'd be interested to try some of the more 'normal' items on the menu such as the burgers to see how they compare to other restaurants in Southampton. If the quality is anything like the steak platter I had then I'll be in for a treat. Best steak in Southampton? Easily.
Atmosphere and food were lovely. The staff when we arrived were very informative and showed us all the different ranges of meat & fish that had been caught around the world. The food & presentation was spot on. It got a bit busy towards the end of the meal and perhaps not enough staff to accommodate all the customers, we ended up skipping dessert as it took so long. Either way quality was good and we'll be back.
Ocean grill has some of the best food I've ever had in a restaurant. I ordered the surf and turf for myself, and the steak was done near perfectly; a lot of places I've been to don't understand how to sear a steak properly, and I can happily say this is an exception. The lobster was also excellent I've never had lobster before, but I can certainly say this was a great first experience. My friend also had the linguine with lobster bisque, which he said was also excellent, though he finished it too quickly and was forced to sit and watch us devour lobster for an hour. The starters were also outstanding. I will add that the food is rather pricy, but your paying an acceptable amount considering how good it is. The staff who served us were polite and helpful, and we did have some good banter with them, and they very kindly made me a happy birthday plater. P.S. One very minor thing, if you ask a table if they want water, it'd be appreciated if you specify tap water or bottled because we just wanted tap water.
Wonderful atmosphere, very attentive service, great décor and wonderful food. The dessert was not to our taste but this is personal opinion and was felt with very professionally. Above and beyond expectations.
Worth every penny! Food and service was impeccable. Can't remember the last time I enjoyed eating out as much. The staff were so attentive and the quality of the food was out of this world!
The service and the food here is incredible. This restaurant offers A5 Wagyu which is simply phenomenal. I'm not sure if any other restaurant in Southampton offers this. This meat is melt in your mouth soft. THE best steak I've ever had. The dessert counter is also top tier. Pictured here is the pecan cheesecake. The cream cheese is wonderfully light. One of the best desserts I've had.

The steak was superb, and the cocktail suggested by the waiter with a change to the rum was sensational. I wish I'd listened to his advice about the sauce though, as the taster of his suggestion was so much better than what I ordered. Lovely place, great food, helpful staff. Will visit again!
We had such a lovely evening here. Lovely atmosphere, attentive waiting staff who couldn’t do enough to keep us happy. The food was incredible & the whole menu is just so delicious…. We wanted to eat everything. Sensational decor as well. I loved how it is decorated. It’s nice to see another top end restaurant in Southampton. The Jetty & Blue Jasmine are lovely but it’s so nice to have a third option for special occasions. Well done Ocean Grill. We will be seeing you again.
