"We have been established since 1967, when Angela and Richard Weston opened their first surgery- hence the name ‘Anrich’. We are a true family run business in the heart of Wigan. Over the years Richard Weston our clinical director and son James Weston business director have built a team of dedicated, friendly and highly qualified veterinary surgeons and nurses in order to best treat our patients. In 2016 we were lucky enough to be established as a referral centre; with our in house MRI and CT scanning facilities, in which vets all over the North West can refer to us. We are an RCVS accredited training practice and maintain our teir 3 hospital status and we have been awarded "OUTSTANDING" in Diagnostic and Customer services by the RCVS."

A massive thank you to all the staff at Anrich Vets for the kindness and care we received on a very sad day. The reception staff were brilliant, putting us at ease and sorting an appointment out. John the vet was very professional and could not have been kinder explaining everything clearly. The treatment we received was second to none and I would highly recommend this vets in Wigan.
Hugely grateful for the care and compassion shown during a very difficult time recently when our much loved cat needed to go to sleep. All the staff from reception, through to the vets we have seen over the last 5 years have been nothing short of outstanding! They dealt with our insurer for us and took as much of the stress away as they could. They were so patient, allowing us all the time we needed with our beloved cat before we said our goodbyes. Explained the procedure and took us through the process at our pace - even sent us some flowers in condolence. What a lovely thought. Definitely recommend this wonderful team of people who continue to take care of our other cat.
I would highly recommend Anrich Vets to anyone. Everyone from the reception staff, right through to the vets and specialists are oh so friendly, compassionate and empathetic too. I have had to take my poorly dog there a couple of times within the last few months. I can’t sing Lily and Paula’s praises enough. Lily has provided top notch care and advice. She was not happy that I did not have a clear diagnosis on my first visit. So when I came to the second visit, she went all in for a more thorough and in depth investigation. I would also like to add, that after both visits, Lily called me to check on how my dog was doing, asked for an update and answered all my questions, and put my mind at ease. Lily is just a super star and a credit to the practice! As for Paula, she performed an ultrasound scan. When I went back to pick my dog up, she provided me a thorough explanation of how the procedure went, what she had found and even shown me all of, the many, scan images and videos that had been taken it looked like my camera roll on my phone. She took her time to go through this and was not phased by the amount of time that she took to do this. Plus, her advice was also top notch. I have to admit, every time I have been to the vets, I have never felt that the vets or nurses are pushed for time. They have answered every question that I have asked in thorough detail too. Keep up the great and amazing work!
Great vets. Things were abit distant during Covid but normality has resumed. They get in touch if I miss my collections for worming and flea treatments. I’m always given a number of options and suggestions on any issues and have the time to have a good chat. They even contacted me to say it’s been a while since I’ve been in and they’d like me to pop in for a check in in case any treatments need changing. Never pushed any treatments or work and always offered good advice
All the vets, nurses , reception staff are truly amazing , they are so compassionate about their jobs, they looked after our dog rosie with the utmost care both during treatments, surgery and after she past away. I would never take my dogs anywhere else ,. We could never thank them enough for what they have done for us , and continue to do.
Absolutely amazing vets , I cannot thank ADAM enough for what he and the whole team have done , he literally saved my dogs life , if I could rate more stars I would. After a terrible fall she now has an amazing quality of life. THANK YOU to all the staff , what a credit to your profession you all are !!!! …. Adam don’t ever stop doing what you do …thank you all.
I phoned Anrich with a possible emergency with my Cat Nipp, they offered me an option of same day appointment times which was reassuring in the circumstances. On attending the vets my cat was extremely distressed but the reception area was quiet and relaxing, in the examination room the vet was very gentle and calmed Nipp down really quickly which made her visit comfortable. The outcome I'm glad to say was good.

Called Friday 13th Jan to explain my 10 month old puppy was unwell with D&V and lethargic. Was informed that it was late in the day so someone would call me back on the Saturday to arrange an appointment. No one called. My puppy got worse over the weekend was barely eating or drinking and acting out of character. Called again on the Monday and was given the same story. Waited and no one called back despite me insisting it was urgent. I called back again and threatened to take her elsewhere. What do you know as I hung up someone called me back. I was offered an appointment that morning. Took my dog in and she was given an antiemetic - with the advice that if she was no better in a few days to call back and they would scan her. She didn't improve so called back Thursday 19/1 to request an appointment and was advised to buy a probiotic from pets at home or themselves. Attempted to buy from pets at home but it has to be ordered and takes 5 days to arrive. Attempted to get some from the vets and was told the same. By that time my dog would have been unwell for 12 days with minimal food and drink and definitely losing weight. Asked how I put in a complaint as this treatment just isn't good enough. As a nurse I wouldn't let my own patients go that long without investigations so why should that be the case for my dog? I was advised to email the practice given a yahoo email address. This treatment of a lovely family pet is just not acceptable. Registered with another vet and have an appointment later today. Hopefully we will receive more empathy and better care.
I would like to thank you, that the doctor took Tina on even though she was 11 years old already. Dr Richard Weston prolonged Tinas life for good few months. Thanks to him, the huge lump Tina had dissapiered. The diet doctor advised helped a lot too. Tina lost over 4 kg in a month. That helped her to walk again, even though she had crushed legament and trapped nerv in the spine. We have used services of other clinic, but they never took the note that Tinas lump was growing rapidly. That affected her walking as well. The only suggestion they made was to put the dog down which upset me greatly. Usually doberman lives up to 11 years the most. Tina did very well considering her illness and pain. Dr Richard Weston made us all and especially Tina the doberman much happier the last few months of her life. I was very surprised and emotional when I received flowers in honour of Tina from Anrich Vets. When Tina passed away, I had big bag of unopened diet food which would have gone to waste. I am so thankful that Vets took it back and returned money. The most regreat of mine is that we didn't use the services of Anrich Vets years ago. The staff is very professional, emphatetic, kind, understanding and nice. They sell amazing variaty of pet foods and toys. You can find just about anything for pets there. I would reccomend Anrich Vets to everyone. I would like to thank Dr Richard Weston and all the staff of Anrich Vets from the bottom of my heart.
