Lovely little animal park. Small and seems to be family run. Cafe reasonably priced and a little petting area at scheduled times. Felt a bit sorry for the foxes and wolves but I'm always rubbish at coping when I see animals in cages, it is what it is in places like this I guess. Animals seemed well cared for and the staff were really friendly. Only gripe is seeing them smoke in the cafe area. I don't think that's appropriate. Last thing I want to see is an ashtray and people smoking. I don't think smoking should be allowed anywhere within the parameters of the park full stop. It's 2022. Smoking is a no-no.
I used to visit the Animalarium and it WAS a lovely day out. It is now one hamster short of a nest to call it a zoo, unless you think the Big Five are: rabbits, hamsters, a rat, goats and ducks. The staff are lovely, yes, and we had a jolly nice cup of tea, but when the website is the best part of the visit then I'd think seriously about visiting. I should have known when the main picture on the website is of a cat. The place was run down and looks forgotten. The play area was chipped and broken. Posts were falling down, the pens were overgrown and shoddy and the whole place needs a lick of paint. No wonder the animals used to escape.
We visited this lovely animalarium just after New year Can't thank Ryan enough for making our day amazing! He went out of his way to show us all the animals and has expert knowledge. He let us choose which animals we would like to meet in the petting area. What a great experience

Very lovely place and staff has great knowledge about animals. It was great to hear the wolfdogs howling for the first time! They have less animals than before hence they’re now recovering from the impact Covid had on them, so I highly recommend anyone to pay a visit and support the animals Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

This is an all right place. Pretty small but £6 adult entry with a small student discount isn't too unreasonable. Some lovely unique animals, the cutest Guinea Pigs and Bunnies and the world's friendliest Peacock. Definitely a must visit if you happen to find yourself in Borth.
Return visit after 5 years as on holiday in area for 3 dsys. Very different due to circumstances out of their control, but would highly recommend visiting and supporting them to get it back to a zoo. Children aged 12, 7 and 4 all said it was a great day out! It's very reasonably priced entry. Food was lovely and affordable. They all had a treat from shop which again didn't break the bank. We all had several pots of food to feed the greedy goats, rabbits and guinea pigs which was a great experience for us all. A very interactive animal experience. We're all looking forward to returning tomorrow on their VIP day to see the exotic animals.
I have been visiting here for years .. and it’s only getting better .. this year we had a tour with dean himself.. we heard about each animal and it’s history, also where the breed originated from. This was just amazing as I’ve never known a zoo to be able to do this. My son has different needs and he also did the marmoset experience.. the lady that took him in was just amazing.. he really enjoyed it and she really new how to keep him calm and relaxed .. the zoo is looking amazing with upgrades being done to make it even better .. I can’t wait to be visiting again .. oh and we were able to take my dog round also... honestly I love it here and strongly recommend.... thank you to everyone involved with the zoo .. you have given us life long precious memories xx
The Animalarium in Borth is a OK place to spend a few hours with family and friends. The collection of animals is limited and perhaps is closer to a farm than a zoo. The staff however are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, providing information about the animals and their habitats. The Animalarium offers a hands-on experience for visitors, allowing them to interact with some of the animals. The highlight of the visit is the feeding of the animals, which was fun. The facilities are clean and plenty of opportunities for children to learn about conservation and wildlife. The gift shop has small gifts for visitors to take home. Overall, the Animalarium in Borth is an OK attraction that is worth a visit. It is an average place for families to spend a few hours, learn about animals, and have fun.
