Shame I cannot give 0 stars and wondering where all these 5 star reviews are coming from!nnOur 13 year old dog was misdiagnosed in January. Paid for meds that probably weren't needed. Correctly diagnosed in February by Beatrice who is a good vet we have no complaints about her but unfortunately it was lymphoma and it took hold of him quickly. Rang up as he was suddenly passing blood and clots in his urine and was given an appointment with Nina the same day. Discussed with the receptionist whilst crying down the phone at her if it was worst case scenario would it be done that day to which she replied yes it would.nnWe arrived 7 minutes late due to traffic and they refused to see us even though they are happy to keep you waiting 30-40 minutes. He had been booked in for checkup only and when this was questioned we were told sorry I didn't check his notes. She clearly didn't listen to a word I had said that morning either. No one else was in the vets and still refused to see our dog as the vet was busy on the phone. We were told to either go to Barnsley or come back tomorrow. We left as I refused to deal with them anymore as I was disgusted with them sending away upset and distraught owners with a sick animal. I didn't trust them with looking after our dog or us and went to find a new vet as we still needed help.nnAnimal trust should be ashamed of themselves and after reading other reviews I'm so glad our boy did not spend his last moments in the care of them it would have made an already traumatic experience even worse. AVOID AVOID AVOID take your pets to a vet that actually cares!!
Great veterinary surgery made all the better by efficient, polite & helpful staff.nGreat location & easy to find ,head into the retail park and it's just off the mini roundabout next to KFC & the Sue Ryder charity shop. Ample parking with dedicated disabled bays and easy access into the surgery including wheelchair access.nInside there's a large air conditioned reception area with lots of seating plus toilet facilities. It is spotlessly clean and as a rule they run very much on time so make sure you're not late for your appointment!nRegarding pet care, I have always found Animal Trust to be pragmatic & efficient whilst keeping cost relatively low.
Amazing vets. I was with Calder vets, they quoted me 1600 for an operation. Then refused to do it without another 600 for tests they never mentioned. With animal trust it was 680 all in and they literally saved my dogs life. Staff are amazing and truly love pets
Thank you to the lovely lady on reception. I had just had an awful experience with an Vets in Dewsbury this morning who I had been with for 30 plus years and she patiently listened to me tell the tale whilst I was crying. I am now registered here.
my dog had a dental at the dewsbury branch today, my other dog previously had one too with them. cannot recommend them enough. I think the vet that I saw was called karolina and absolutely fantastic. Duke has come home with lovely clean teeth, anal glands done , clipped nails and clean ears , he's a Bassett and never smells clean thanks to every member of staff, reception, nurses and vets for always doing a great job
