The food was good, not amazing nor bad, very much what was expected. In terms of eating in the ‘restaurant’ it’s uncomforatble to say but the two gentleman who worked there spoke very little English and so made the ordering experience somewhat difficult. Firstly, upon arriving we ordered a ‘large’ coke for £2, assuming this was a 1.5l bottle. Assuming the ‘small’ option would be a can for £1.50. We assumed this as in plain view of all the tables the refrigerator they use is filled with either cans or 1.5l bottles. We later found out that we were instead charged £2 per small glass! Totalling £8! I would totally understand this if this was explained prior to us ordering the drinks. In addition, the drinks menu they use makes no reference to ‘glass’ so it’s fair to assume that we’re looking at pricing for bottles and cans. Secondly, upon being given the bill we are then told that their card machine wasn’t working, this was at 21:50?! Totally unnacceptable service, especially as they would have known there was only one ATM nearby, within a shop that closed at 22:00. They also offered no help with regards to where an ATM was, what if we weren’t from that area? Overall, what started as an OK experience, finished with rude customer service and poor management. Not to mention the flies that were present throughout the meal. It’s a real shame as me and my friends have been going here for years but we will look elsewhere going forward! I hope management sort this out ASAP!
Angon lived up to its name seeing as we waited an hour and a 45 minutes to arrive. When it did, the delivery person banged on the door until we answered as if we were keeping them waiting, which was ironic. The food itself was edible but very bland. The naan breads were all covered in black dust please clean your ovens. Rice was good. Probably won't give this one a go again.
Took 1 hour 30 mins for food to arrive. When it was eventually delivered food was stone cold. Husband ran out to delivery driver to show him food was cold. Phoned restaurant to complain as part of order also missing told we had to bring food back ourselves or no refund. Absolutely awful customer service and unhelpful staff. Please read reviews before ordering!!!!
Late food, rude staff, average curry. It took over 2 hours for the curry to arrive, it was lukewarm and watery. When we called to ask where the food was, he said "it's on it's way" I asked, "how do you know, I haven't told you who I am, what my order is." He replied, "I just know." Avoid, avoid, avoid
Ok food. Being vegetarian. You need to specify your test. Besides ordered paneer curry and you can test the smell of an out of date masalas being used in there. Also paneer was very hard. We simply bin the whole paneer carry. However liked the mix veg curry, I am guessing it's really hit and miss of what you get at this place. For the budget it was reasonable. And also noticed they have some offered between sun-thurs. I am hoping my experience is one off. Willing to give another try before the final verdict!
Shocking service person who served us was the chef and didnt know how to use the card machine we had to wait for the owner the food is horrible told you get a free drink for new customers i was a new customer the chef said i have bern there before which i havnt and we asked for more poppadoms and were told we wernt alowed any more than one each
**AVOID**Couldn't deliver a bag of change next door during opening hours! Avoid at all costs. The phone numbers are bogus if you want to contact them. Sub standard service. **AVOID**
Food was nasty tonight, poppadoms were soggy and stale even the dog wouldnt eat them tonight and she usually loves them, food was undercooked had to micro it, sauce was spilt all over the bag,have had food from here alot but tonight was very bad, big sad face as its our local,very disappointed
Good curries. Some nice chillies in the jalfreizi. I can choose from about 8 different main courses and still be completely satisfied.
Good Indian food. Only ever had a takeaway - fast service
