We have previously used Anglia Gas Services for several years to service our old boiler when an older chap use to do the servicing. We had not serviced the boiler for a couple of years due to Covid and were sadly told the older chap had passed away. The new chap called Dan turned up performed some tests and then told me there was a gas leak on the valve and we would need to pay an extra £240 + vat for a new gas valve to be fitted. This seemed a bit odd to me as everything had been working fine without any issues. He however capped off our gas meter and stuck a sticker on the boiler which was now supposedly unsafe. I decided to get another opinion and booked a different gas engineer company to perform another boiler inspection. My suspicions seemed to be validated as he could not discover any leaks whatsoever - make of this what you will!Service: Heating system maintenance
