A really good pub in a set back rural location. Offers classic pub food along with a solid selection of ales and lagers. We went when it was Tier 2. The set up for social distancing was excellent. The staff were great too. Very friendly and attentive with table service.
great burger from wild board, lamb cutlets weren't so great because of mint sauce, meat was great. Lots of beers and nice interior. It's definitely lovely pub.
Popped in for a couple and the Wainwright's was very good, well kept and served well... And a fruit based drink for the other half. Sauvignon blanc.
Excellent Covid care. Amber ale exquisite, super staff led by Lynn. Wish we had had longer. Great stop off for railway.

Poor food. haven't been there for a couple of years, and was always excellent. this time portions were smaller and the quality was very poor.
A wonderfully cosy little pub. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal - a highlight was the generous portions and the dessert. One of the best meals we have ever had out. 100% would recommend.
