Had a nice steak burger in this classic irish pub and diner, with great vibe ans ambiance. Very friendly and efficient staffs too. Desserts was amazing, my favourite was their carrot cake with vanilla ice cream. Definitely recommended!
Amazing food but poor service! Service very poor: -I had to get the attention of a waitress in order to get us seated including pointing out a table that was free - waitress told us the special only for another one to tell us that is wasn’t on -never told the soup or fish of the day - had to wait ages for the food to arrive - never asked how the food was my steak was over cooked but it would have taken ages to get the attention of a staff member to get another steak but on & didn’t want to wait again - very difficult to get the attention of the limited number of staff on to take away the plates, get us the dessert menus, dessert spoons only provided after desserts were serviced 2 spoons were soup spoons The food was absolutely delicious bar my steak being over cooked. The peppercorn sauce & chips really stood out. The service was the issue but I have found most establishments in the last 5 years the service has really deteriorated. Easily resolved with proper training to make the dining experience 5 star again. Drink service was excellent. There may have been a genuine reason why there seemed to be a lack of staff & therefore a longer waiting time. All the staff have to do is initially let the customers know approx. how long they will be waiting which will give them the option to stay or go. Also I would love to see the fillet steak back on the menu as it was the most delicious steak I’ve ever had anywhere We will definitely be back because the food is amazing & hopefully next time the service will have improved majorly.
Lovely pub restaurant great atmosphere even tough it was a weekday .staff very helpful and polite .food delicious and the owner keeping an eye ensuring all customers were being looked after and stopping to have a nice chat with them Nearby activities: Lots of activities in and around the area Vegetarian options: Curry Stir fry Salads Sides Kid-friendliness: All the kids favourites Parking: Large parking at the back and on street parking at the front Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access at front and the back also within the restaurant
Really nice venue... atmosphere was comfortable. Menu choices are limited. Would be nice to be able to get a dinner in the evening too but other than that, everything was great. Staff are very accommodating and friendlyFood: 4/5
Very pleasant stay B&B. Room spotless. Gastropub full of character inside and out with a full and varied menu. Service friendly and efficient for a full house of customers. Highly recommend.
Extremely slow service, we had to wait about an hour between each meal. Disgusting toilets, but lovely meal in fairness.
The steak was absolutely amazing and I'm fussy as hell when it comes to my steak. Highly recommended.Food: 5/5
One of the best Beef steaks I've ever had it is a lovely place with lots of atmosphere very friendly staff and great Guinness You would be wise to book a table gets very busy
Always book in advance if you can, especially if you want a table on a certain date. We just turned up, it was packed but they managed to find us a table. The food was amazing, prices reflect the quality of the food but well worth every penny. I had a steak, which honestly the best I've ever had and cooked to perfection. On another day I had the scampi, which was plentiful, cooked in the lightest, crispiest batter and also the best I've ever had.
Love this place, it's a real treat. Fabulous food service and attention,and as usual buzzing busy...a good spot always is. I went for the "special" slow cooked ribeye and pints of Guinness, with Irish coffee for dessert. Great company and experience, place full of angulars from all over Europe for the fishing competition. Put my name on that tshirt, I'll be back .
