The food was delicious. My reason for not giving a 5 star is because when I ordered a pudding I asked if the cheese cake was baked the waiter said I don't think so it's the one from costco and you charge 7.99 per slice when I can buy the whole cheese cake for £15. When we asked a different waiter for the bill she went to get it, i then noticed she had been and put her coat on and we were sat around waiting before having to ask another member of staff for the bill.
The bar is well stocked with beers ales & ciders. Wine & cocktails too although these are a bit pricey.nnThe restaurant's a bit basic for me serving simple pasta dishes with ordinary sauces, shop bought desserts & all a bit overpriced IMHO.nnWorth a try but difficult to remember.
It's taken us ages to actually get round to booking a table but decided to take our friend here for his birthday. We were really impressed with the food and the service. I had a steak which was cooked perfectly and the chips and onion rings were amazing. The rest of the meals were great and it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff were lovely. To top it off they even brought out a surprise dessert with a candle on for the birthday boy. Thanks for a great meal.
Just had a really good meal for 6 people and our 10 month old granddaughter, food was amazing and served by very pleasant staff. We've been here before and weren't disappointed with the return. Will certainly be coming again.
Great pub in Duffield. Real ale I can recommend the Bass is brilliant. Had a few meals here in the past and all good there. We tried a “bottomless lunch” which included starter, main and included 2 hours free bar. Staff nice and polite. Well recommended
