Wow what a perfectly lovely authentic Italian restaurant. The dishes we had were perfect from start to finish and so wish there was a restaurant like this near where we live. We found this little gem by accident as we were planning to go to a different restaurant but I'm so very glad we ended up at Anema e Core. By far the best Italian food we've had yet. Can't wait to get back to Eastbourne and book a table here again! Would recommend to anyone. Thank you to the staff and Chefs for making us feel so welcome and producing such delicious meals.

Friendly staff and nice coffee, but frankly speaking food was so terrible. Worse than school or airplane food. [1] Fried seafood platter - calamari/shrimp were soggy. Batter seemed too watery and probably not fried in adequate temperature. [2] Arancini and Calzone - Inside was cold and batter was soggy. Spinach inside Calzone tasted bitter. Vegetable inside Aranchini seemed to be from frozen vegetable, not freshly prepped. In overall, tasted like they were pre-made/frozen and just heated in inadequate temperature before being served. [3] Risotto - Rice was overly soggy and too watery. Almost tasted like Rice pudding. Soggy rice was floating in sauce and tasted bitter. Had to return the dish.
Amazing food. The service was quick and friendly. The calzone had the right proportion of filling to dough and wasn't undercooked or slimy. Best calzone I have had since I have been to Italy. The hot chocolate I had was also very good so would recommend to anyone who appreciates a good hot drink. Will definitely be coming back!
Lovely atmosphere, greeted with a smile and served with a smile, tasty food, served well...would definately recommend. Informal dining in lovely surrounding, and exceptionally well priced. £85:,for picks, 2 starters 2 mains and a dessert , oh and bottle if red.
quite possible one of the best meals I've ever had ! the picture is of the starter myself and my 2 friends had, as you can see the portions are not small ! although fried, my starter was very light and tasty. for mains I had the mushroom risotto, it was incredible, very rich and creamy but not too heavy. my friends had the lasagne, they said it was the best they'd ever had, I had a taste and it was delicious, again full of meat but not too heavy, and again large portions ! the staff were brilliant too. I will definitely be coming back here again

Best pasta I've had outside of Italy my husband is Italian so we eat there a lot. I had the pumpkin ravioli with sage, my husband had the wild boar Ragu both were amazing. For desserts we has the rum cake and Panna cotta with pistachio again amazing!
Bruscheta es on delicious bread and the tomatoes were tasty. My son and I both commented on the freshness of the pasta and the sauce of the rigatoni with Pecorino and truffle was just right and delicious. I will come back to Eastbourne just for that! The staff were very friendly too
Absolutely disgusting behaviour! My friend was upset and so they would not serve us. We had been here the night before and they were lovely, but as soon as my friend displayed any emotion other than happy, we were told we couldn’t order! We were having a PRIVATE discussion and were told we couldn’t have a beverage because they thought my friend was under the influence when she wasn’t. Absolutely awful behaviour when someone Is grieving. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend this place.
