After you have completed building your new house, the prospect of preparing all the paperwork for a VAT reclaim, and working out what invoices are acceptable, and what are not, is one last chore you can do without. So having someone who would do all this for us was a great relief. Andrew Jones and his team sorted out all the paperwork quickly and efficiently and submitted the claim to HMRC. The claim has been paid in full, right down to the last penny. A job well done.
Andrew and the team advised us of all the information he would require to complete the claim. We supplied this and the rest was completed by Andrew and the team. Highly recommend anyone doing a self-build to speak with Andrew at the commencement of the project and take up his FREE pre-project consultation, he had some many good tips. Ask for their literature pack and also spend some time on their YouTube channel – lots of great tips. Andrew is very generous with his time and sharing information during your build which is a great bonus and a comfort blanket in the minefield of VAT when doing a self-build. VAT reclaim submission was spot on.
Very efficient. Andrew came out and collected my documents as arranged. He was informative regarding what he thought we could and could not claim. Once he had collected all the information his team were very quick to expedite. The claim was sent off within 36 hours of his visit. We await a positive outcome.
Very pleased with the service I received from Andrew Jones. Always helpful, and fast. Unfortunately the HMRC timeframes are much slower - for me were 7 months! During those months Andrew would periodically check in, and continue to answer any queries I had, or pass on experience he was getting from others in the queue. After a somewhat sleepless Friday night worrying, where I believed I’d potentially messed up reclaiming my VAT on our new build, we had 4 days to get it done and did not have that time available - I found the website of Andrew Jones – The VATman on a google search. At 7:05am on Saturday morning I called Andrew’s mobile and he answered. 6 phone calls later with questions and reassurances by 10:30am I was at my local post office posting my invoices to Andrew. At around 9am on Monday I received a WhatsApp message requesting I join a group chat, the group chat was Andrew and 2 staff, myself and my partner. At 9:15am I received a photo of our parcel on a desk at Andrew’s office. A few questions through WhatsApp in the morning and by 4pm we had a copy of our claim sent through to us. We reviewed it - It was slightly more than we had worked out, which almost covered the fee for the service on its own. We advised back we were happy and the claim will be submitted tomorrow to arrive on Wednesday, our deadline day. Thank you

Andrew and his team are just what you expect from professionals in this line of work, and you get it. Andrews submission of my claim only took a few days for him to submit to HMRC. The actual claim took a while to be granted, but every pound that Andrew claimed was paid without question. You only get once chance with the claim, let Andrew do it for you.
We used Andrew's services to reclaim the VAT on our new build & enjoyed an excellent service. He picked up all the invoices/receipts and discussed the process with us. They then went through them they told us what was claimable and what wasn't. They then provided a form that was pre-filled in gaps for us to complete details like our personal details like the bank account and sign. We were then invoiced for the claim works and once this was paid they then sent everything off to HMRC for us. HMRC have obviously been having a difficult time, particularly since Covid, so HMRC took a lot longer than normal over 6 months to lodge and process the application but the process has been smooth sailing for us. With only the exception of one invoice which had an incorrect detail on it - and Andrews team are sorting that out now. Very pleased with the service.
