Story

Andover upholstery-Family repair service has been in business in Andover hampshire since 1947. Founded by Walter Foss then handed over to his son Geoff.

The company still services local companys and has many regular customers in and around Andover.

In recent years we have dealt with customers further afield, as far away as scotland.

We supply services such as Motor Trimming (classic and modern), Motor Cycle Seats, Traditional and Modern Furniture Upholstery and Contract Upholstery.

Customers are welcome to visit our workshop and discuss price and choose fabric for their job.

Ryan has completed two pieces of work for us and we are delighted with both. Ryan reupholstered an old, neglected chair and also made bespoke bench seating cushions for our kitchen. His work is beautiful and he is clear a fair in his pricing. I’d recommend him to anyone.

Just got back our 10 year old dining chairs. They now look like new. We're very pleased with the finished product. Ryan's wasn't the cheapest option, nor was he the most expensive, but he could prove to be the best. We're great believers that in life. You get what you pay for, and we're very happy. We just need to see how well the material wares.

Ryan repaired are GPlan leather sofa after being let done by a well known sofa company , Turned up on time for quotation and collected and re delivered are sofa within a week . Would highly recommended.

I contacted Ryan to reupholster a seat for a chair I'm undertaking for a  furniture revival project. With a same day response I had a very reasonable quotation for the work that needed carrying out and the end result is astonishing, I couldn't ask for a better result. From the moment I contacted Ryan for a quote to reupholster a rocking chair, I was impressed by the speed of his response and the professional manner in which he has communicated with me throughout the entire upholstery project. I am aware that it has been a challenging job for Ryan, stripping down awful dark lacquer wood frame applied many years ago by my father. Wow,  I love what Ryan has done to our family treasured rocking chair, he has completely renovated and restored it and brought it back to its former glory  and the elephants look fab. Despite looking around for a few years we couldn’t find any sofas in a style we liked and so decided to have our old one reupholstered. Really pleased with the end result & great service from Ryan.

From beginning to end fantastic service. Though the repair was to the bottom of three chairs, the work was flawless, showing the pride in the work. Also bent over backwards to set times and dates to suit me. True craftsmen.

I have a pair of Ligne Roset Petite Sieste reclining chairs. They were upholstered in leather and alcantara. After more than 15 years the alcantara wasn't looking very good. I love the chairs and couldn't find anything I wanted to replace them with. Ryan's reviews were excellent, so I went to see him. Reupholstery in leather was a rather expensive business, and I notice the slightest flaw. I decided to take a leap of faith after meeting Ryan. He was very quick, easily beating his time estimate after the leather arrived early. The chairs look fabulous. The leather is excellent. OK I said that I'm fastidious, and there is one missed stitch, but I can live with it! Thanks Ryan.
