We had our 5 year olds birthday party at Anchors Away today- it was brilliant! Such great value for money and they do EVERYTHING! Even party bags! Food was brilliant- and loads of it! I can’t recommend it highly enough- staff were brilliant too!
Dont make the mistake visiting here, price's are scandalous at £6 a child & £2 for an adult! Why do you have to pay for adult?? If us adults didn't bring the children then you would have no business. For the size & facilities this does not warrant such a price. I normally have a wacky warehouse pass which costs £25 for 4 children for 4 weeks but fancied a walk with the children so visited as its local. We were also informed the kitchen was out of order so no food which is fair enough BUT then to be told you can't consume ANYTHING of your own on the premises!! I will not be visiting again in the future.
Always friendly, helpful Staff! Clean and well taken - care -of areas to play. Food is reasonably priced, good selection. My 3 year old grandchild says " I having a good time here today Grandma!"
Kids had an absolute ball here! The staff are lovely, there is plenty for the kids to do & lots of choice for food. The only thing that let it down for me is the level of maintenance. On the day we were there, it was raining & there was a pretty major leak coming through the ceiling near the toilets through a light fitting - I'm pretty sure they shouldn't have even been open as this is a H&S breech?
Don’t bother with this soft play, I’m not sure where the 5 stars are coming from or what they are for but they are not an accurate depiction of the centre. It’s really small and not very entertaining, my little one is two and she found the older part boring which is saying a lot! It’s not worth the money and especially not worth having to pay for an adult too. The play kitchens handles are broke so the plastic is sharp and dangerous to little one’s and the toys are old and dirty. First and last visit to Anchor’s away, very disappointing.
Good facilities for the kids but I won't be returning. They cap a visit at 2 hours before you need to pay again and we're very reluctant to let me and 2 kids leave and come back when picking up my partner from 5 miles down the road. They let me, but under duress it seemed. They also didnt tell me of the 2 hour limit till I tried to leave. Oh, and nobody seemed to have checked the toilets in a while. The hygeine board was untouched and the cubicle in the men's was insecure, with a broken catch for the bolt. Not ideal.
Honestly,it's rather small and I didn't feel £10 for 2 children under 6 represented good value, but hey ho. The mats felt a tad thin and had visible signs of wear in them ,the slide wasn't great but the kids got a runaround. The receptionist attitude was utterly disgusting, she couldn't bring herself to offer a greeting when we got there, she didn't say thank you when we were leaving -basic customer.and trying to get a drink-do I have exact change because they had cashed up at 5:51pm Finally on the negatives there was a smell, not powerful but lingering. It's a shame as they have an area for parties,2 screens with console pads' connected too i and the rest that would make it a great centre...but it's a tired centre in short.Definetely wouldn't recommend nor will I be going back.
Fantastic. A nice little play centre for the kids. Food is very nice too and decent portions. We came when it was quite busy, so was quiet manic, once kids go and it's quieter it's actually quiet nice and peaceful. Will be back again.
Yes, it’s not brand spanking new and state of the art, but the kids don’t care. It’s clean and the food is AMAZING. Best soft play for food. The toasties are just so tasty. Had two birthday parties here as well, and everyone compliments the food quality and quantity.
Good for birthday parties however 0-3 toddler section the floors and under the soft play ball pit it was full of dirt, toys were all really old, soft play cubes all torn.. Floors in the hall were black and dirty again, Just needs a good clean, I’m sure if an inspector came they would fail for the cleanliness. Would love to come again if only it was just cleaned.. Last negative is the receptionist could crack a smile, not welcoming at all Other than that good for birthdays
