Gorgeous location with some of the best seafood ever eaten! Staff, food, location all on point. Definitely book your place well in advance, it's incredibly popular! The BEST whitebait I've ever had the pleasure of trying! We came at a particularly busy time, plus in a mini heatwave and the staff were swamped, you could see how busy they were, but they were incredible and so friendly!
Went as a party of 15. Great views of dittisham. Friendly and helpful staff, most of the party had fish pie. Which looked fabulous. I chose the stuffed peppers. Worth the visit will definitely recommend a visit. Vegetarian options: Lovely fresh salad and tasty stuffed peppers.
The customer service was extremely poor. We live locally in Higher Brixham, about 10 minutes from the Greenway ferry to Dittisham, we caught the ferry from Dittisham to Dartmouth and back, we got back at 3.30pm and went to the anchor stone cafe hopefully for hot drinks and a piece of cake. You have to ring for service, when the man came down and we asked if they had a table free, we were told quite forcefully that they ONLY allow tables for lunch meals, as it was 3.30 pm, it was definitely too late for lunch and too early for dinner, and I am sure that all the tables would not have been taken for meals at that time! He did say he could give us a takeaway coffee. Anyhow with that customer service, I will definitely not go there again, nor will I take any friends there in the future. So instead we had a drink at the Ferry Boat Inn before catching the ferry back to Greenway.
we did not have a booking and we were turned away and refused entry despite lots of tables available. Was only after a drink, people behind were allowed in without reservations though.
Some of the best seafood I've ever eaten. Scratch that THE BEST seafood I've ever eaten. Beautiful views over the estuary, great service, relaxed vibe and did I mention the food? If you're in or around Dittisham, go there now what are you waiting for? If you're in Dartmouth catch the ferry to Dittisham. If you're anywhere else, get in car and drive there right now. We will miss this place everyday until we return.
I was pretty excited to realise I hadn’t reviewed this place. It remains our absolute favourite place in Devon, and - along with Rockfish - the only place we never miss when we’re visiting. The service is really wonderful, especially considering the absolute crush of people who come everyday. The location is awesome NB: BOOK IN ADVANCE and the food is simply superb. They were awesome with our new baby too. Bonus! ALSO, next time we’ll definitely try the water Taxi from Dartmouth! Number in the picture attached.
Lovely seafood and friendly staff. The fish was so fresh and the mussels where amazing. We will be back.
Wonderful location, great views and excellent sea food in Dittisham.Food: 5/5
We had reserved a table for 8 people for 2.30 PM today The staff were friendly and welcoming. All of the friends on our table agreed that the food was delicious and well presented. I had the mussels which were cooked to perfection as a main course. That was followed by a variety of deserts. We were the last to leave. We joked between ourselves that the staff had "Colgate" smiles because they were so attentive and helpful. Enjoyable lunch between friends. Recommended.
Lovely piece of line caught sea bass and a slice of frangipani tart for lunch; having just walked from Dartmouth. Good service with a smile. My kind of place!
