This hotel is juat gorgeous. We booked it last minute. The staff were lovely, one barman took us to our room. After we got in we realised it was a twin and we went down to ask if there was a double. The manager Chris stopped what he was doing to help us. He found us a double bedroom instead of a twin with a gorgeous view. Alongside this at the same they booked us a table for dinner that night. Lovely table service, kept checking if we wanted drinks and how the food was. I would definitely go back for food but also to stay. Perfect little hotel for a break.

Really nice place with lovely owners and rooms. Some of the staff came across as a bit new but everyone is new at some point. Fully recommend staying here. Look out for the seals on the loch in the morning! Rooms: Their rooms are lovely and look recently done up. Nearby activities: Walking, scenery and other Scottish things! Food & drinks: Lovely breakfast and bar
This is now my second stay at the Anchor Inn and like the last time it was spot on. Room was warm, comfortable and well stocked. Barman is the most accomodating and friendly person. Can't fault this place....ticks all the boxes with the added bonus of a cracking view. Food is homely, tasty, well priced and plenty of it. Thanks again. 1st stay - Great welcome by staff, room was clean and tidy with everything I needed for a one night stay. Evening meal was well prepared, hot and great value. Bar must have telepathic abilities as I got to the bar and a beer appeared Great host. Breakfast was well cooked and filling.
We’ve stayed here for 2 nights. The staff are really friendly and you can tell they really take care of the place. We went to the bar one night. Tasty snacks big portions too!, friendly locals, most importantly amazing bartender who keeps everything together. The bar is spotless and the bartender sanitises his hand every other minute! We had such a great night chatting with everyone
We have just returned from a visit to Garelochhead, having spent two nights at The Anchor. We have nothing but praise for the place ... from its immaculate, modern decor to the staff. The Manager greeted us so warmly and couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The food was of top quality, and beautifully served. The rooms were stunning we were in room 5 in a nearby lodge Fabulous views over the loch, tasteful decor, top of the range fixtures and fittings. We really didn’t want to leave , and hope to return ere long!!
One of the best hotel choice we made during our Scotish Trip ! Best quality to price ratio for sure. The staff is listening to all our needs. Very warm and welcoming people. The food is enjoyable too! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an hotel in the city.
Spent an entire afternoon here recently starting with a splendid lunch and finishing with a wonderful dinner. The staff were so accommodating professional and friendly. Individuals who work as a team generating outstanding customer service. I really wish I could have stayed after I was given a tour of some of the spotless somewhat luxurious rooms. I'll definitely be going back. Thanks guys you really made my day

It's a shame that I can only put five stars to the Anchor Inn Hotel, because I would put 10! In my opinion, the best service I have ever had. Very friendly personnel, great food and very comfortable rooms. To my was a huge surprise to have an amazing stay. Definitively will return!
