We go weekly for our 3 daughters swimming lessons. Today, the receptionist!! Well I’d like to say she must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed, however she’s always miserable, I walked we walked in, stared at us and not a work, I said morning loud and friendly and we got a very grumpy and uncomfortable “morning” back. We went through the doors and into the corridor, the kids had put the swimming costumes on at home and the girls take off their oversized hoody’s like the do every week and many other kids and go wait to get in the pool. This lady Sharon stormed through and shouted at us all not to get changed in the cafe, 1. They were not getting changed, 2. Our youngest burst out crying from her shouting and then refused to get in the pool as she’d got upset. So, to clarify, we were in the corridor, not the cafe. We spoke with staff in the office who said that their own kids do the same in that exact spot, as I said, they’re not getting changed. After swimming, we do use the changing room as they will get changed in there!! This woman is just a controlling person with an attitude. She should not be the first face a happy families sees coming for a fun morning swimming.
Midweek swimming here is very stressful. The changing rooms in particular, after swimming lessons for small humans, are AWFUL. The changing rooms are disgusting. There are parents helping their children shower, not a problem, but wearing your dirty shoes where people have to walk bare foot is disgusting. Using the showers to get clean is impossible and there is no staff cleaning up and making it clean again. Don't forget the nappies in changing rooms just left, talc all over the floor and whatever cream someone dropped all over the floor. There should definitely be a cap how many people are allowed in both pools, I don't care about profits and service, if there's too many people you can't swim anyway. Allowing people to book would be a far better system than this free for all and disgusting. Would make staffs jobs easier so that they keep the place sanitary too. When did people get so vile.
We love coming swimming to Brigg but haven't been able to since October due to the changing facilities bed in the disabled changing room being out of order nThe ladies on the front desk make are lovely.
Good facilities however when I swim it smells pungent like sewer water at the entrance end to the pool.nnIt also says 3ft at the shallow end,but it is even shorter as I'm banging my knees compared to other pools.
The leisure centre Carpark is free to use you are wanting to use the river ancholme for paddle sports, plenty of spaces and eady launch
