Went there to get fitted and received excellent service. The staff were great and didn't bat an eye about me wanting an awkward size. They gave me advice about when to come in to look for wedding stuff and made me feel really welcome about coming back again.

Amour Lingerie opened in September 2007 to bring to Wincanton in Somerset the opportunity for ladies in three adjoining counties of Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire the opportunity to buy the most fashionable lingerie, nightwear, swimwear and leisurewear from leading fashion houses without having to go to London. The two directors, Lucy Down and Puling Hurndall-Waldron combine the exuberance of youth with the experience of maturity and set out to make the purchase of a bra a pleasant friendly occasion over a chat and a cup of coffee rather than a hassle. Lucy, who had seven years experience managing a lingerie business before opening her own store, was trained by Rigby and Peller in London how to fit a bra correctly, and will go to endless trouble to make sure that a bra or swimsuit fits correctly before she sells it. Pauline brings a lifelong experience in retail, and interior design, including the lingerie business and believes in providing a service rather than simply achieving a sale. This philosophy has rapidly built a reputation for friendly and efficient, and having yet to complete its first year in operation, Amour is already established as one of the leading suppliers of lingerie in the Southwest. The local press described a visit to 7 Market Place as like walking into a designer shop in Paris or Milan. The buying policy is to go for quality and value for money, and having tested the market with a wide spread of suppliers, Lucy and Pauline now concentrate on those that have proved most popular with their customers. These include Argentavivo, Elle Macpherson, Fauve, Fantasie, Gerbe, Gottex, Hanro, La Perla, Lise Charmel, Liz Hurley, Marie-Jo, Prima Donna, Papillon Bleu, Princesse Tam-Tam, Sloggi and Spanx, but they always keep their eyes open for something new.
