Using them can be hit and miss. Last order the food was an hour late and was cold. Called the restaurant and emailed to ask if they could do a gesture of good will for our next order and they haven’t been fussed to follow it up.
Consistently good food and good service when eating n or taking away.
We have a takeaway of various dishes. We thought it was exceptionally good. Can’t wait to put in another order!
Unfortunately tonight meal was disappointing, everything apart from the chicken meat was good. The Tikka and tikka masala! The meat looked and tasted over cooked. Such a shame. Had been looking forward to this meal all week. In the past. We always had a lovely meal from here.
Really awful experience. Ordered a family meal for collection on New Year's Eve and trusted Amish with my hard earned money. Over two hours later at 21:30 and despite the advertised one hour preparation time I still didn't have my food but Amish had my money. Worse still when I did get my food, the order was incorrect: rice was missing, one of the dishes was prepared with chicken instead of lamb and another item I paid for was missing. To me this is a failure of basic customer service: it takes nothing to check off a customer's order. Despite waiting for over two hours, some of it in the cold outside because of social distancing, and despite being respectful to the staff I was not even provided with the correct order. I was offered a lesser substitute for the missing rice lucky I got rice at all and even then because I opened the order myself in my car outside the takeaway with incredulity at the fact the staple item was completely missing. The delay meant that I was unable to collect a food order elsewhere for a child and that was a big problem on New Year's Eve - by the time I received my incorrect order from Amish, all of the child friendly food outlets had closed on my route home. I can understand occasional mistakes and I have sympathy for hard pushed staff but the fact that my long delayed order was not checked for completeness or correctness is not acceptable. That was what prompted me to leave this review because I think even allowing for the unacceptable delay, there is no excuse at all for not checking a customer's collected order. I treated the staff with respect and politeness and yet was not given the correct order let alone an offer of a small discount for being severely inconvenienced. I, like most people, work hard for my money and I feel that the service here fell far short of even the basics. I had been planning a night in with my family and this experience at Amish - a relatively expensive meal too - really did cap off an awful year.
We have used this restaurant before a couple of times. Normally I would say it is very good and have always enjoyed the food. Maybe we hit it on an off night, but there was 7 of us early evening mid week the restaurant was empty all bar another couple. The food was very dry and not fresh. It tasted as if it had been microwaved. Also it was very expensive. The waiter insisted that we all needed a portion of rice each! Which when it came was large and easily shared between 2.. I wouldn't leave a tip as I felt we were forced into ordering extras that were not needed. So Over priced and not freshly cooked but constantly asked if we wanted more very expensive beer....
Very bland dry curry such a let down
It's such a shame that there's no consistency these days. We've had several fab meals and tonight I even complemented the owner on the quality of the food ! Tonight the food in general was ok but not great but the onion bhaji was inedible all dryer up and looked like a week old!how the kitchen can let that out of the door is beyond me the worst thing is if they a happy to send that out I wonder what else gets over looked in the kitchen.reslly there's no excuse for that! I won't be going back.
Found this restaurant by chance a few weeks ago, been again tonight and found the quality of the food and staff to be excellent both times. Some very different dishes as well as the usual ones. I can't wait to go back again soon.
Best take away I've had! Won't use anywhere else. Staff very polite and food fantastic, very easy to use online ordering.
