My mother was born just outside Nefyn in 1918. Great to find a photo of her from 1932 on one of the screens. Volunteers are very friendly. Definitely worth a visit, and don't forget to make a donation
Excellent museum on maritime history and a lot of local history. Also, a wealth of information on the local area. We went on the last day of our holiday in Nefyn, we should gone on the first day to learn about the area. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
A small but very interesting museum about maritime history and the history of Nefyn
Amazing hidden gem with a great selection of exhibits and interactive screens. Plenty of information and artefacts to look at. Staff are kind and friendly with great knowledge of the local area and beyond. Lovely to see the old building given a new lease of life, with a well stocked shop and a cafe with a wide range of hot drinks and snacks. I would definitely recommend to anyone interested in the history for the Llyn Peninsula.
I don't think I've learnt so many interesting facts about a place in such a short period of time. The curators are very friendly, enthusiastic and justifiably proud of their exhibits. And what we learnt about how herrings converse will be knowledge that is passed down in our families through the generations.
