One of the reviews below mentioned that the workman had no pride in the job. My after photos below speak for themselves in terms of poor quality and lack of care. This was a simple window replacement, following my struggles of sourcing my replacements parts for my 1960s louvred window. I wish I had left it as it was, the small missing pane of glass looked a lot better than this mess, which I now have to spend time and money correcting at my expense. I would advise you to go elsewhere for a better glazer who cares about their work and reputation.
Brilliant! Called and had my mirror cut and smoothed within an hour of my call. 10/10 service.
Just had my double glazing replaced all round my kitchen and couldn’t be happier with the professionalism of the work! It looks fantastic and at a great price! Overall I had a wonderful experience with Ames glass, the guys were great and would definitely recommend.

I placed a couple of orders with Ames but I got disappointed by their customer service. I sent a drawing for a glass top of 15mm with full rounded edges specifically writing 7.5mm rad, but I received a glass with an imperceptible curve. I now understand that they couldn't make it, but I spent £373 on something that I didn't want. I think I should have been advised about what they were going to deliver before taking the money. I asked for the glass to be taken back or at least some sort of compensation as their pro-forma invoice was saying "All done to customers’ spec." but according to them all is fine. Regards Camilla
Needed some glass,just gave the measurements left my number and he called me when it was ready. Normally he would cut it there and then,but he already had a large order to do.I have used this place a couple of times before,never any problems.
I love shopping locally we have a good selection of shops. The owners and their team have excellent customer service, glass and mirrors are always to the highest of standards. Definitely recommend them!!!!
I had a broken exterior window which was measured the same day just before Christmas. They fitted it the week after New Year with minimal hassle. I was very pleased with the service and the price and would without a doubt, recommend their service, Thanks Guys.
Ames Glass has been friendly, helpful, efficient and speedy. They carried out initial repairs very quickly and then sourced a replacement stained-glass unit. They gave good advice on what other works were needed or not.
Found Ames Glass Ltd on Google, closest to my workplace , got a quote they were the cheapest , they came to take measurements and had it fitted all with in 24 hours . Quick correspondence to my emails, i will defo use them again and would be happy recommend them , Thanks a bunch Ames Glass you made my day !!
