Absolutely love Amble. Quaint little village but a lot going on, some lovely restaurants, nice walks, little market on a weekend and some of the best fish and chips. The only problem with Amble is the parking, there's never enough because it's a popular place and the public toilets aren't the best but they're guaranteed to be open .

Loved a wander round the 'Pods', sausage on a stick for lunch was delicious. Very interesting visit to the Hatchery. Definitely recommend a visit.

Great Individual cabins by harbour selling all sorts of goods. Got some Cuddy cheese, homemade scones 80p each from bakery and Wor sausage on a stick £1.50 which were lovely Bought pack of 3 flavours for £10.

Small shacks that provide a focal point. There's one that does coffee / tea, others do such as art work & ornaments, cosmetics & there are others. The air straight in off the North Sea is bracing. You can walk out on the jetty, get good views Northwards. A small beach is by the jetty. There are a few fishing boats & there's lobster pots on the quay showing the working face of the harbour. Warkworth castle can be seen from here too as you look back over the river Coquet (pronounced co kett). The harbour at Amble is worth a visit as are the other small villages along the upper North East coast, which for those of you who are not familiar with the area is full of natural beauty. More than often, you'll need to wear something to keep the wind out (the area isn't renowned for its balmy temperatures) but that will allow you to enjoy the location for that while longer.

Amble harbour and market has a good atmosphere and coffee shops. The dog also enjoys the walks around the surrounding areas
